Hard to believe its easier to change the oil in one of these then it is our trucks. Just walk under, reach up and take out the plug, no creeper needed. But you better have a BIG drain pan.20150428_160651 (1).jpg

    Evening all:
Just NORMAL here! Went to get 3 plugs for the boat motor, Advance Auto had 1, went to NAPA they had 0, but said another NAPA near the Advance Auto I had just been at had 6, so drove back down there and got 2 more. :annoyed: Looking for Lubriplate 630-2 grease, went to 2 boat dealers and some auto parts stores and none of them had it. That's the grease outboard jets recommends for the jet pump bearings, thought for sure boat dealers would have it. :annoyed::annoyed:
Local Walmart was out of 4 stroke oil, so went to one further away that said they had it on the computer, YEA they had it---1 qt. :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:
Today tried 4 times today to contact outboard jets in CA, never got to talk to anyone due to the high volume of calls. :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:
Looks like they must really be busting those jets up at this time of the year, and all outboard motor jets come from that company.
Oh yea, finished up mowing the grass today, got sidetracked!

 evening boys!!!! Sorry Carl - hopefully you'll have better luck tomorrow

Duane, I have a Fumoto valve on the truck - had it there for.... 5 years maybe :notsure: never had an issue with it. If your drain is above a skid plate, get one with a nipple so you can hook a hose to it. No need then to move the skid plate to drain the oil.

    Hey Duane.
    Hint.
Never use that center drain gizmo. Just spin the whole thing off and let it drip while loose.
    Takes way to much time.
    90 min?
    Try this......
    Go get the vehicle
    Oil and filter change

    Then do this
    Check tire pressures
Do a 27 point check including checking the air and cabin filters and tread depth
    Do a car wash
    Then go park the vehicle.
Write this stuff down on paper.
    Type it in the computer.
    On every vehicle for free.

All in 18 min. Any more time after that you don't get paid for.
No extra time for shields either.
And you wonder why shit happens....
Think you need to step up the pace a little ... ROFLMAO heheheh
    Good morning all..

    Morning all:
Or he could start going to Jiffy Lube or Walmart! :D
That should be good for a stripped drain plug or 2! o_O Of course you will get the answer "no me" when it does happen. :(

18 min. Mike, :plane: I'm more at Duanes speed at 90 min. also, and that's on a good day!!!:turtleride:
Wait till you get to be my age, you'll think you did good at 90 min.!

OK; just figured out I can't import pics. like before when I plug the camera into the puter. Need to figure that out! :(

Once again, welcome to the new folks.

Sounds like most of you had a busy weekend. We did too .... did the long postponed garage sale (I HATE garage sales).

Her majesty forced me to clear out some old clothing, like:

    My Nehru Jacket
    My bell-bottom leisure suits
    My favorite Mohair sweater
    My favorite dickeys

Hated to see them go. I did manage to hang onto my pink blazer (hid it in another closet).

She's out of town for a few days .... what to do during the interim ??????

    Tex

X2 on the Fumoto valve. Makes oil changes a snap.

Welcome 007 TRD. Pull up a chair and the cooler is to your right.

Afternoon All:wave:. Welcome to the thread 007:hattip:. As you can see, we got some great folks on board so make yourself at home and enjoy.

Well weather finally cooperated and I finally got to trim the split leaf maple out front. Missus will probably be pissed saying I cut it too short but too short to me is an inch from the ground(don't want to dull the blade in the dirt). After tree pic.jpg

Used to spend numerous hours changing my oil, wife's oil, daughters oil, mil's oil, fil's oil, neighbors oil, and years of changing oil on the equipment I worked on:eek:. Now I take it to the dealership(haven't had any issues with them :fingerscrossed: YET). Hope I don't. I do miss working on my stuff, but I got lazy in my old age:rofl:.

    Have a good one all.

It ain't so bad! Luckily I have my health, for now, we all know that could change in the blink of an eye.
Just got done changing a ballast in the kitchen ceiling light, PITB but should be good to go for awhile.
Didn't fall of the ladder, didn't get electrocuted, house didn't catch on fire, and the darn thing worked after I got done: now that's a good day!

    Tree looks great Ken!

Looks great Ken. I need to hire you for some work.

Yup Carl if you changed the ballast and nothing caught fire and you were not hurt then is was a great project.

Afternoon Susan  Did you say YARD SALE? Any trains or tools up for sale?

Had the summer tires installed today. I am a happy camper. The ugly stock rims are in the shed till November.
