Huh? I am not drawing the line between EAF and off road driving fast. What did I miss?

hot. Way too hot to be repairing a south facing deck.
Way too much truck talk in here too. Lets diversify.

No pics of the demo, just the aftermath.
The wood you see stacked is the culprit to my misery. A Tiny Elm tree that grew way too big for it's britches and proceeded to fuck up my fence, driveway slab and the deck.

The deck shifted about 4-6" to one side.

    The fucking elm...
Moved the deck and the little concrete pad thing, which appears to be buried quite deep.

Not only moved laterally, but also raised about 3-4" on that corner.

That's as far as I got. It's way too hot for this sort of nonsense. There is chainsaw work to be done and prolly some shoveling. Might be October before i hit it again.

Poking around this evening before my meeting and I noticed a hunk of caulk or liquid nails or whatever...so I pried it off so it wouldn't interfere with the new boards in October.
You can see the wood grain from the old deck boards.

And the back side was evidently being used to plug a mouse hole.
That's mouse fur on there. Found part of the tail too.

And the hole. I can't believe a mouse would chew such a nice round hole. I think it was existing/drilled and the guy who built the deck was possibly an asshole. Just a theory though.

    And it's fixed. :burp:

Built a swing out tire carrier to add to my CBI bumper. Re powder coated the back bumper while I was at it.

Still need to add the mounts for a jerry can behind the kitchen cabinet

    Anyone into kayaking?

I bought a cheap river one last winter that was too small for me. Meant to watch CL and buy another setup on the cheap during the winter but forgot. I have kayak'ed and canoe'd a bit before, but always lakes or calm rivers/ocean. I'll probably wait until this winter if I can't find a cheap setup.

My own recent experience is they are tough to get a hold of. Even email can take a week to get back to you. Been working with them via email for ~6 weeks. Granted RT was in that timeframe and I beleive a Texas gig too. Patience has paid off as I have an appointment with them next week for some work to be done.
