Yeah, i am pretty livid about it, sadly the franchise managers cant force the owners to give up a refund. He said because of this hes going to try to make them change the way they handle things like this. He says hes not giving up but he cant do much more to make the owner give me a refund. Told me the VP of California agrees that he is making a big mistake by not doing so. He also informed me that Yelp and the like is handled by himself. So if i were to go that route for shaming i would just be talking to the guy i've already been talking to and hes been very helpful and upfront. He told me the only way to really try is to do a charge back.

 

Not saying I'm an expert by any means, but when I was studying Criminal Justice for a few years (before I never became a cop and wasted 2 years of schooling, Weeeee) one of the things I learned is that- if there's a dead body, someone's going to jail. Even if he broke in the house with an AK and you got shot and barely managed to stop him and there were 10 thousand witnesses, you're still going to jail for the night until they can clear it all up. Period. Probably won't be a court case or anything lol.

But yeah, #1 thing I've been told about shooting an intruder, to prevent major jail time, you HAVE TO BE "In fear for your life or great bodily harm" otherwise you just shot a stranger in your house for no other reason than he invaded your property, which CA isn't one of those states where you can just shoot people for that (Fuckin' Cali)

 

What if its the middle of the night and you cant find your glasses in the dark and you grab you gun and shoot some one cuz its dark and they are in you house and without your glasses that crow bar looks like a rifle so your in fear for you life.

Have a hard time believing any jury would convict me. Not like I can ask the nice burglar for a timeout to find my glasses so I can verify if they have a weapon or not.

 

Yeah true, but theres so many other things going in there its not a clean cut case. Did you shoot him dead? Did you scare him off, now he can sue you because he intended you no harm, just wanted to steal some shit. Then the liberals step in and you should have had an alarm system so you would have woken up to him breaking in and would have not reacted so. And youre some gun toting mad man that wants to shoot anything that moves in the house. I've read a bunch of bullshit scase stories like this, that makes it rough to want to shoot someone in your house.

Easiest way out of it, put a gun in his hand after you shoot him, make sure hes dead.

 

I just hope its not the misses, since you cant see and your not sure what your shooting at. I hope she makes you lock up the guns. lol

 

I would make sure she was next to me. She is the one that usually wakes me up to go investigate noises. My handgun is locked in a finger keypad safe under the bed.

what case do you have? I'm in an apt now so it takes me (my size)8 steps to get from my front door to my bedroom door. I'm in process of buying a handgun and curious how i really want to keep it locked up for best chance of safety and for my own safety to be able to remove it with speed.

 

do you have kids? if not, sleep with it if you want. Best bet is secure your entry points to slow them down.
