Yup, and Toyota dealership says there isn't a fix for it yet. Similar type problem existed on the 2nd gen, and it took them a few years to come up with a TSB for it. I'm not holding my breath that they'll be any quicker to solve the 3rd gen. Also, the loaner Tacoma they gave me had it even worse than my truck. I'm just going to put a JL 10" in there with 500W and that should drown out the drivetrain vibrations ...

Lol, my dealership told me they haven't heard anyone complain about the vibration. The "Director of Fixed Operations" actually drove my truck and he noticed the vibration a was surprised that it was doing that. He gave me his card and cell number. I just need to set a date for them to keep my truck for a day or two. He said they will loan me a car, free of charge. I'm not a mechanic but I feel like it has to be something with the driveline Hopefully they find something:fingerscrossed:

Gorgeous truck. Love the roof rack.

I keep going back on Qs and Inferno. Ended up ordering the QS. But every time I come here, I regret my choice... :(

Well hopefully in July I will have my truck or as the dealer calls it a (Unicorn) I don't need a DC so what I have been looking for is a Tacoma in access cab inferno M/T wow what a pain....

You cannot get a manual in a DcLb or get a manual in a access cab off road... dealer luckly had a manual in a access cab sport in dark grey and changed the color to inferno. Will know in a couple of days, lol at that time there were only 3 in the whole US one in seattle,NY,NJ lol that's it. I have a 4-banger been wanting a v6 for a long time.

Just considering on derping wheels black, charcoal grey, anthracite, or gunmetal. And why I haven't seen this yet but derping the bottom of the curve on the doors for a different look?????? Surprised no one has done something on the bottom off the doors just like derping the whole bottom of Tacoma logo area on the tailgate....

U will need to remove mudflaps and trim some plastic but not that much. The front wheel well actually only rubbed a little on driver side so I ziptied the liner forward. It depends on the wheel Back spacing (I'm running 4.5" BS). If you use stock wheels I think the only rub is upper control arm at full lock. Wife drove my 2010 w/ 285 and stock wheels for over a year before I lifted it. Hope this helps. I can take some pics of the trimming if you'd like.

Looking at possibly trading my 4Runner today but I've got 285/75R16 BFG AT KO2s on it and I'd like to swap them onto the new truck. No mudflaps on it, but where did you trim; body mount area or in front of the wheel well. Wheels are 16x8 w/ 4.5" backspace. You definitely helped. Thanks!
And oh yeah, beautiful truck! I'm a silver, grey, black or white vehicle guy but I can't get passed this inferno on the new Tacomas!

I saw the inferno in person when I was looking for 16 tacoma and had to get it. MGM, white and black were my favorites (only colors I've ever drove). I'll PM you some pics when I get home.

Joined the club June 10th. Sold my 2010 Tundra, wanted something a bit more nimble and narrower. :) Happy so far. Pretty sure I want to put a 2017 TRD Pro grill on there or get the chrome grill painted black to cut down on the chrome look.

They don't hunt down problems. They look at symptoms, and then look in the system and see if there is a TSB matching those symptoms and perform the work called for by the TSB. Without a TSB they don't do the work. Since there isn't a TSB for vibration on the 3rd gen all they'll do is acknowledge there is a vibration and tell you, "there is no fix at this time." I'm less than impressed by their helpfulness, but the truck runs and gets me around so I can't really complain all that much. I still like the truck a lot, and enjoy driving it. I just am a bit disappointed there are still drivetrain vibrations. It seems to be a theme with Tacomas of all generations.

Replaced the inserts in my back seats for orange vinyl today, didn't have time to do the fronts. Maybe next week. The second picture shows the color much better, but pictures never do anything justice!
