I received an "invite" a while back... politely told them to go fuck themselves and they shouldn't even have sent it to me since I'm not a U.S. citizen.

nope same as everyone. We usually get taken excluded by lawyers because they dont want us. They know that we see through all the smoke and mirrors and bullshit stuff. We just had a guy get stuck 3 days on some civil case.

 

A few years back I got a jury duty notice and asked the doctor to write me a letter for permanent disqualification due to Crohn's disease as you never know when the "shit will hit the fan". They accepted it - at least for the state. I've heard Federal summons' are nearly impossible to get out of.

 

Just follow @DoubleRGirl's lead and become a felon.

 

When you move around a lot, own property in 2 states, and are licensed in a third, it's hard for them to keep up

 

I was able to keep mine up until deliberations .

 

I got called for jury duty a month or two ago.. Wasn't selected and was out by 10.. Didn't tell work I was out early (company policy is you are supposed to come in because they are paying you for the day) and went to the range!

 

Parked in a lot in allston, against a wall pulled in... Still managed to get hit and run. Left a nice scratch along the whole passengerside rear fender flare to bumper... Thankfully the corner of my bumper ate his/her headlight and it was cracked up and left on the ground.

 

That sucks... I don't know what's with people anymore. Damage someone else's property and drive away.

 

No consideration and responsibility anymore......

Kept mine the whole time

Same thing as the 1st part of yours, I was out by 11. No one was called. I guess it was a slow day so only 2 possible cases but neither one went to trail. I didn't need to return to work. I work in RI and the time off was paid by PTO

maybe you have a slight bend to the bumper and you can replace with an aftermarket plate bumper, that's what happened to me , totally covered by insurance too.
