@Cuffs - while these aren't specific to the Tepui, there are all generally the same. So if you've seen the video on the ARB awning, I can almost guarantee it will be so similar to Tepui's that it will guide you. These companies source their products from the same general manufactures, so they are all pretty similar to one another (main differences simply being the material, not form or function).

I've added a few more videos and I know they aren't perfect, but should give you an idea and at least get you on the right track in YouTube to find more related videos.

P.S. Our wives/girlfriends speak a different language, the only difference is, we can't give "that look" when what you're saying doesn't make sense to us or you aren't answering the question succinctly and with logic. We get in trouble for that ;) Trying to make the tense situation a little lighter in here. There's enough drama in other threads, let's keep this one fun!

    Fellow NorCal member?

I have the Teton double bag that I keep in my kukenam, 2 pillows too. Let me know if you want to come by and I can give you some pointers in how to close it.

Some people have done so, yes. Just know that it gets pretty high, so off camber situations get tippy, mpg will suffer a bit, and did I mention it can get high?

Here's a buddy with his CVT on a prinsu rack. He's since moved it to the bed with a bed rack

I will not be on the trail with the tent just yet. I just wanted to make sure it was safe to put on the stock roof rack to go camping at a campground for the weekend. I will eventually put it in the bed but have no time to make a bed rack just yet.

Agreed. Is the weight rating not 75lbs? I realize that's a dynamic load, but still... If you're going to do it, I hope it's just you in the tent. I wouldn't put two people and a tent on the OEM rack.

I wouldn't try it myself. I use to have an OEM rack that I used for my canoe and I wouldn't have trusted it to carry any more weight than maybe 50 lbs.

I didn't say it's ideal, but it has been done before by plenty of people. Hell, my cousin did it on the roof rack of his Honda CRV. @tommyhd03 - for your application, you should be fine. When you eventually get a bed rack, I'd recommend getting one that doesn't put all of the weight on the bed sides.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
So, had ordered a Kukenam Ruggedized from REI using their 20% off coupon, with free shipping to store. Seemed to be taking forever to ship, so called to see what's up. Long story short, a Kukenam Ruggedized XL would have been available at the same time in store (mid July), so the lady let me cancel my first order and get the Kukenam Ruggedized XL with the 20% off still. $1816.07 after taxes, delivered in store. Pretty happy about it!

Where was your bed cracking at? While I don't have any additional accessories on my bed rack, I do beat the truck pretty hard and know there's a lot of force being put onto the bed. Haven't noticed anything obvious, but haven't really looked for any damages either.

I have a crack right up next to the cab on the driver's side that i thought was from my rack, but i think it was from cramming my 4 wheeler between the wheel wells.

Take a look at the top center of the vestibule overhang on your entrance way. The pole looks to be a support to keep water from puddling on top of the vestibule extension.

I thought that but there is no place to clip it onto on the tent itself in that area

For those getting the Summit series tent I suggest you get a car plug extension or you wire up a car outlet in the bed. I just had to order a 10' extension plug since the plug isn't long enough with having the tent open on the driver side... The wire is probably 8 feet long... It wouldn't even reach through the truck door to test the lights... Luckily Amazon delivers fast so Ill have it tomorrow.
