    Speaking of the 10 inch self powered unit,
    It would be a perfect match for a 4 runner, FJ cruiser type
    Its just a little to big to fit easily behind the seat in the tacoma. If you made some very small mods, it would work well but that would require the user to make the mods, which i think would be well worth it.
    The unit is 5 inches thick across its whole cross section, and with a hight of 13, i believe the cross bar is 11. So the user would have to cut out that 2 x 15 width section and either use 1/2 inch birch ply to seal it back up or stretch some fibre glass over it
