How robust are the annex attachments on most of these tents? I'm concerned about keeping my dog down in the annex area and having him possibly detaching it from the base of the RTT.

Not that robust if you give it a meaningful tug downwards you will rip the threads off. I know from personal experience - long story short I was trying to take the annex off and slightly raised the ladder with it on and it ripped the thread off that held the zipper track to the fabric.

Hunter, I didn't see your tent when I logged in yesterday. That sucker is yuge!

What does a piece of kit like that weigh?

All together in the box it was 235 but I think it weighs around 135 all together when on the truck without anything inside besides the mattress and anti condensation mat

Been waiting on a tent from Tepui for 3 months. Waiting on a reply from CVT to see if they can get me one I want. I really wanted a tent this summer for camping but seems demand is fucking high right now. Is this a normal wait time or is it just that back ordered right now?

I know CVT is still sorting through groupbuy orders but I believe they have some stock on hand for regular customers. Hope you hear from them with good news!
And it's just that time of year...4 years ago I was the only one with a RTT in my area, now I see them almost everywhere I go. They're getting more popular for sure

Your in VA, try Matt at Blue Ridge Overland Gear in Bedford. When I was up there checking out Liberty University, he was a dealer for CVT.

Good news, Blue Ridge Overland about 4 miles from my house has a CVT Shasta, getting it this week. Awesome group over there made it happen. Thanks for the replies.

And if you need any custom panels or storage/molle check these guys out.
