Why would you need to start your car by cell phone?

    I was talking to a shop about a remote start and the guy tries to sell me a setup I can start with my mobile phone.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
    so you can do it from anywhere... if your truck is parked at an airport and you're halfway across the country, then you could start your truck occasionally to make sure the battery doesn't die. :)

    It annoys me that mine only works from 400 feet away... :( This would be neat like feet.

    its the viper smart start..I guess its incase you dont feel like bringing a key fob with you everywhere..My buddy was going to do it, but its like $400 with module installed, plus like $30 month activation fee.

    how so? its the same thing as remote start, just on your phone. How is that being lazy?:confused:

    I had remote start on my truck, and love it. On the cold days, ill start my truck from inside to help get the oil into the engine before driving.

    Or snow days, helps to melt the ice from the windows.

    you are correct.. i am an installer.. i just added this to my truck yestreday.. let me tell you... its the shit.....works anywhere you have cell signal or wifi...

    i already have 3 buddys wanting this too.
