DVRed the game because a buddy of mine asked me to play for his team at 9... got home, started watching the game. Fell asleep for a bit right after the 2nd half started and when I woke up it was 2-0 and said both teams were playing with 10. Shut it off and went back to sleep.

Guess I missed a lot of action so have to watch the 2nd half in it's entirety for sure!

No offense to anyone here, but Ecuador is the typical physical south american team. Deserved W for the U.S. in my opinion, even though right after Ecuador tied it up they had a shit ton of chances that they missed right in front of goal.

usa came out with the hunger last night and they won the game, ecuador expected an easier time and they flopped on it.

the officiating like always was and will be questionable, going in this is always arguably the biggest variable.

Not quite sure to be honest. I think it depends a lot on how the other games leading up to our last game goes. Meaning, since they expanded the Euro to 24 teams this year, not only the 1st two of every group go through, but the 4 best 3rd place teams go as well. So it depends on every other group, plus then our game and the Iceland vs Austria game as well.

So, as usual, in typical Portugal fashion, we have to rely on others to fuck up for us to progress. Same old story. Nothing new.
