T Slot Nuts Installation in 2nd Gen Bed Rail

    Is the only way to get the T Slot nuts into the bed rail system to slide them in from the very ends. Want to install some quickfist mounts and my canopy was just installed prior to my T Slot nuts arrived in the mail and just wondering if I have to remove the canopy clamps to slide the T Slot nuts in from the ends.

    Yes just pop out the little plastic ends and slide the tslot in

    Yeah I thought that is how they go in. Its just that my new Canopy Clamps that are integrated into the bed rail also would have to be removed so I can slide the Slot nut past it further along the rail.

    I'll tell you what, for someone who can figure out the manufacturing, I bet there's a reasonable market for oblong nuts that can be used in the rail without having to go from the ends...

    Why not just grind them down to match the profile on the Toyota cleats. You insert those and turn 90 degrees. It's not that hard people.
