While I condone the sentiment...my truck was built in San Antonio.

I was thinking more of ARPUFFNSTUFF needing to tighten his screws. A few have loosened. He keeps expressing displeasure with the third generation of Tacoma because :jellydance:.

Yeah, they screwed you. I looked at my invoice and it shows the same exact price for the 52119 part ($274.84), but only $302.75 for that Lower trim panel 53911B part. Still $1000 less than what you got nicked. It's not even ballpark reasonable.

Lucky I never got it, USAA insurance will cover that and the large bumper white part and other scratched items for a $500.00 deductible, just waiting on the repair date in July! Its funny, that small part costs so much but yet the whole white portion is under $300.00, they said they just touch up and paint the white scratches but have to replace all black parts because its black unpainted material!

Mine was a bit worse. About $5k, but same $500 deductible. All fixed now though. Totally my fault too. The cop was actually behind me by sheer coincidence. Didn't cite me though, so thanks to that.

The day after picking it off the lot I was driving on base a saw a truck stopped on opposite side of street and saw a string going about waist level across street, it appeared to be a downed kite so I thought I would be slick and go fast and break the string! Well my luck it was a huge type kite with wire string and it wrapped around my right tire and started winding up the wire around inside tire thus the razor burn to the front bumper! The lady did come running asking if every one was ok, WTF I said yes but my new truck isn't so $2000.00 repair for my stupidity!

Fixed perfectly. They really went above and beyond to make sure it was 100%. I'm in Huntsville, AL but bought the truck in Decatur. The dealership said it was the only place they will let touch new cars. It's literally called "The Body Shop". They did have a WTF moment when they tried to look up my grille since they thought it was a stock option--even called toyota, but they redid it perfectly as well.
