I just usually tell them to hang on because I have another call and then put those annoying motherfuckers on endless hold.

Wish I could but with some elderly family members I am in charge of their health care stuff so I can't. Not to mention finances too so I need to be accessible to them or to hospitals or doctors or lawyers that call.

If you have responsibilities such as your's you can't. My only family that might call is my brother and he's my roommate. Anyone else I know needs to handle their emergency or wait until daytime when I'll help them. No one has ever called with a legitimate problem while I've been sleeping, I'm lucky.

I got a text the other day saying my Wells Fargo bank account was frozen and it needed to be unlocked, they even had some random bank account number to make it been legit and a call number to unlock it, j called out of curiosity and it asked for my 16 digit bank number haha I wonder what the next question would have been

If you're not in my contact list there is a 99.9% chance that I won't answer the phone. Between the scammers and sales people answering unknown numbers is almost always a waste of time. But, do to a recent death I was getting calls from out of state family. This call comes in from the city where my sister lives, but not with her number. I think "Oh, she must be calling from her office." No, there's this heavy indian accent and a guy from "microsoft" that wants to remove malware from my computer. And I just started laughing. See, my day job is removing the malware that these guys con my idiot users into installing. It's kind of like a drug dealer calling the police and offering them drugs. I try to quickly gather my wits and string this guy along, but he gets all huffy and says "are you laughing at me?!" then hung up. It was the best response ever from one of these calls and good laugh on a day that certainly needed one.

I've tried this and worse trying to get a rise out of these vermin. It really hasn't done much but waste my time. I think there is such a cultural divide that they just don't get the reference.

Counter strike. Fun game. My old phone number was a old phone number of a drug dealer the calls I used to get. Yo eddy you got a kilo me: not eddy Nah this isn't eddy wrong number. Stranger: o Mybad. That continued for a couple months. Till I had enough and changed my number. Who ever eddy was must of been some type of king pin.

Some bastard that considers them self my friend has been telling a home security system company that I would be interested in a home security system. When I find out who that bastard(s) is/are they will be in trouble. With friends like that, I prefer the company of enemies.

I always thought they were Lexington based, I feel lied to. From the commercials they made me feel like family and now I find out they're not my family lawyer. Given that it may not be entirely ethical for attorneys to advertise on television, I wouldn't ever hire a TV lawyer.

The greatest moment of my life was when I told some Mormons that I had a Mormon friend and they found that answer to satisfy their mission and left me alone.

    I'll do y'all one better.
Typed exactly how it came in, a random fax at work. We get crap like this every few weeks, fake Publisher's Clearing House, fake government, bank "security insurances"..

    Dear sir,

May I introduce myself as Mr Martin Sipho, a financial consultant working with a financial institution based in South Africa. I have access to $35M USD which I want to use for investment in your country. The fund was kept in the custody of a bank in South Africa by the Late President of Guinea LANSAN CONTE who died in 2008. Guinea is a country in West Africa. The fund was deposited as an investment Fund in 2007 in a private facility of the bank with an open beneficiary. It is now 9 years that the fund has been with the bank and 8 years after the death of the depositor without anybody coming up for the claims. I honestly seek your assistance to move this fund into your custody for safekeeping as the depositor I have no known next to kin. I have all the documents necessary to claim the funds as I am directly involved in the deposit. All I need to do is make you the beneficiary of the funds by filling in your name in the appropriate document and immediately move the funds out of its present place in your name to your account for safe keeping. I will use the funds for investment purposes in your country. This process will not cost you any money upfront. We decided to do this as we know the circumstances surrounding the deposit and knowing very well that the depositor of the fund will not come back to claim the funds. I will send you all the documents relating to this deposit and direct you on how to apply for the fund. I will give you further details when I receive your response. I will ensure all procedures to see the successful completion of this project. I assure you that this transaction is risk free. Be rest assured that we will not encounter any difficulty as the person directly involved in approving the release of the funds is also participating in this transaction. This is legal and we propose 70% to us and 30% to you sharing pattern once the fund is transferred to your account. My telephone number is +27733783736. My email address is martin@cityinvestmentsa.com. My fax number is +27866541627. Please keep this very confidential. Let me know if you will be of assistance.

    Yours Sincerely

    Mr Martin Sipho

    Pick away gentleman!
