I've been driving fairly light footed and the best MPG per tank averages only 14 to 16. TRD OR DCSB all stock. Don't know how anyone gets so much more. I drive some city and some freeway on mostly flat ground.

    Pretty stock for now
That is my entire thinking about going with load C. I traded my 2015 Wrangler JKU with 35"s in for this truck and don't want to kill my horsepower, mpg, and braking again.

I get a solid 15.5mpg now. Saw 24mpg (all stock) on my last road trip to FL. The bigger and heavier tires really ate up my MPGs. My truck is a 2wd, probably helped with the higher MPGs. I could easily do 20 & 22 stock.

My mileage jumped up around 4k miles. Since then I get between 18.2 and 19.5 all city if I keep my foot out of it. Got nearly 24 on a road trip to and from the mountains last month. Before 4k miles I was getting as low as 16.5 in town. I would say I average over 18.5 all the time now in city driving. That is better than my 2000 4 banger automatic Prerunner regular cab. This is so much more truck.

I just noticed that the Icons got rid of the kick vent. I used to love having that on mine.

I like the sliders. They look like they tuck pretty good and won't interfere as much with ground clearance as some other sliders, steps, and nerf bars I've seen. Having them in person, do you think they tuck up pretty tightly? Also, when exiting the vehicle, do you notice if your pants rub on your sliders? Sorry for a seemingly nitpicky question, but I've had Jeeps with sliders and they got my pants dirty for court. I'm 5'9 and sliders, nerf bars etc seem to really rub dirt/mud on my pants. I can't have that going in to court, but any other time it wouldn't bother me. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Edit: My Taco came with the chrome nerf bars and I had the dealer remove them. They definitely would rub against my pants.

I noticed the same thing on my passenger floor liner. I'm not sure about the back as it was dark when I installed mine. I'm going to check mine out this evening to see if they settled a bit or if it is something I didn't light up properly.

I'll check mine when I leave work in a few minutes. I'll try to get a pic, too, for comparison. I don't remember how much mine seemed out. I forgot to check it this morning, so glad I saw your post.

I ordered some TRD Pro SEMA wheels, and have been thinking about tires. My truck is 100% on road (family + motorcycle hauling) I don't need A/T tires, but prefer street rubber. Wonder if I should just use my OEM sport tires on the new wheels. OR is there something better.. Seems the TRD Pro wheels looks best when paired with 265/70 sized tires.

That would make the most sense, but i've seen a few pics of the TRD wheels on oem toyo rubber, and it just looks a tad 'off'.. I guess I should just run em for now, especially since I really like the stock tires.

My rears dont fit the floorboard lines but with the seats moved back into place, you cant notice them. The sides are only a tad bit off so Im not worried about those.

I sent the pictures to WeatherTech to get their input.

One of the reasons I didn't like the Weathertech ones, they were good for keeping the snow and slop off the carpet but now that I don't have to deal with that I went back to rubber ones.

I placed my mats in the sun for about twenty minutes and that softened them enough so when I put them back into the truck they closed all the gaps.

...^^^... FWIW ... I have WeatherTechs in front and back of a 2016 Access Cab and they fit perfectly.

Maybe you got some bad ones ... WeatherTechs' customer service and been excellent with me in the past on returns.
