It's bullshit to get you to trade your truck in then they make money off your trade in and the truck they sold you. I got letters from my local dealer about my '09 Taco nearly 2 years after I had already traded it in to them for my '14... lol

I got a letter from motorwerkBMW for a $4K- discount on a 2016 335 xdrive after I paid off my '08 with BMW Financials last month. (They don't even have a 2016 335. The 340 replaced it)

It's advertising. It think the marketing tactic is to make us, who are loyal to the product, salivate over the new model year.

I never get these letters. To echo the sentiments, its not worth it.

Unless you can get a quicksand. Then its very, very worth it.

Same boat...once I saw quicksand I heavily considered a quick swap from my 2015 to a 2016. I actually still frequently contemplate doing it.

Just got a letter from my local stealership about trading in my 09. All's I had to do was call a "special"800 number and punch in my "secret" pin to find out what my truck was worth. Went straight to the shredder

Yea, we receive letters and calls for both my Tacoma and my wife's Acura RDX all the time. Just this week, the salesman who sold us our RDX emailed us.

It's true. The head mechanics are in charge of all the take offs of vehicles. I always try and keep my eyes peeled, usually buying em lunch is enough to score some cool stuff

Use to get the letters in the mail, emails, and phone calls from my dealer saying they wanted my truck, or that they had a buyer for my specific truck. Borderline harassment. The email had an unsubscribe button at the bottom buried in the small print. One of the options upon clicking on it was to unsubscribe from all forms of solicitation. Never heard from them again.

I got a text from my salesman yesterday asking the same thing. He said he has several 16's coming in soon and "they could really use my '14". Umm, nah. I'm good.
