I finally broke down and purchased my first Tacoma back in January 2016. It's the 2016 TRD OFF ROAD 4x2 V6. I couldn't see myself spending the extra money for a 4x4 when I live in Georgia where there is no snow or ice in the winter and I'm surely not taking a $30k+ truck in this clay red mud that we have of Georgia either. If I had the money to just throw away then It wouldn't have been a problem to ruin a new vehicle, but I need mine for reliable transportation and to take the family camping. I absolutely love my truck and have absolutely no complaints about it. I am curious about this forum website and can't wait to hear and see everyone's add-ons and mods.

I'm in the same boat ... I opted to go with 2x4 Sport over the 4x4 Off Road when all was said and done. Had a few people at work ask why I didn't get the 4x4 ... but I dont think I really need it.

The Tacoma is my first new vehicle ever and I'm looking to take care of it and make it last. I'll still take it camping and have a bit of fun, but when it comes to going nuts out in the woods I still have my old jeep that I dont care if it flips over =P
