This may help some of you guys in the middle of lifts. I acquired this kit from a TW member and finally had it installed yesterday. Here are the Specs:

OME 885 coils with nitro 90021 in front
Toytec Boss Ext struts & Dakars in the rear
    JBA HC Ball joint UCA's

So here are the install details, I was concerned that I would be riding "stink bug" with those Dakars in the rear but I took a chance. The front coils were assembled by Toytec so that was a good timesaver. The UCA was a real PITA (surprise~ surprise) as was the rear leaf removal. Overall the install went pretty smoothly my boy Brandin did the install in his garage in about 5 hours.

As I mentioned before hand, I was worried about a couple things, the Dakars being too high, the backspace on my wheels rubbing the UCA's, the Sway bar needing a relocate, the lift not being high enough/ the lift being too high, squeaky Dakars, etc. etc. ARRRRGHHHHH!! Too much reading on TW and you start to get paranoid as HELL. :annoyed:Anyway, some concerns were indeed valid, the Dakars are ridin mighty high, a lil too high! The 885 yielded me a little over 2" (was hoping for the elusive 2.5" mark). The Wheels/ UCA clearance was golden, no worries there. and no squeaking from the rear....:yes:But most importantly, the truck drives like a CHAMP!! Smooth and tight, no alignment yet but it drives straight as an arrow with no pulls or vibrations!
Im almost scared to have it aligned it drives so nice!!:yay:

So, I know, I know............no pics and it didn't happen, fair enough here are the crappy pics (sorry, I am far from a photographer but you get the idea).

    TRD Pro Wheels on Hangkook AT's 265 70 17

Sorry for the shopping cart in the pic-

    upload_2016-6-17_16-35-23.jpg
    upload_2016-6-17_16-36-8.jpg

So, question for y'all......Do I remove the Dakars and remove the 3rd leaf to lower the rear?
Or I was thinking of adding either a 1/4" or 1/2" Top Plate spacer to the front to even it out a bit? If I go 1/2" spacer I have to disassemble the coils to add the longer bolts. The 1/4" would be a lot easier but Im not certain it would be worth the effort. What do y'all advise...any constructive suggestions, comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks to all the sharing of knowledge on this forum, it has been a wealth of information as well as entertaining as Hell! Cheers!

They're JBA HC UCA's, pretty nice and specially made for our lifted trucks up to like 4". Nicely priced too.

Just put the same lift in my '13 DCSB and think the rear is a tad high as well. Waiting on a cap to arrive so not getting too excited until it's installed. Trying to decide between adding 3 degree shims (driveline vibes), removing 3rd leaf, removing overload, etc. Like you, I also didn't get 2.5" up front, as a matter of fact, I only got 1 3/4" out of mine.

    OUCH!

Yeah, im going thru all the same remedy scenarios and as earlier stated- thinking of top plate spacers to balance me out a bit more.

no vibrations for me so I am really stoked about that, the truck rides AMAZING so far (and its not been to the allignment shop yet). If I had to live with it high I'd be OK with that.

Ouch? No ouch for me, I expected everything that I'm experiencing just trying to decide what to do next. Super happy with the way the truck looks and rides just planning my next step. Do I shim or wait and see if cap+tools drops rear enough to eliminate vibes (between 30-40 mph)? Also, I haul a raft trailer in the summer and don't want to rear to sag when towing, so lots left to figure out. Like you said, so much to know and learn here on TW!

Nice setup, pretty much the same as what I did - Dakar rear w/ OME shock, OME 885 front w/ JBA UCA. 255/85/16 Coopers on SCS Ray10's to finish it up. I did need, and had, alignment performed, but I love the setup. I need to measure again now that I've got a couple of months in, I was just over 2.5" on the front following installation, so I'm hoping I've settled a bit. I have a bit of rake, rear is a bit higher than front, but when I load up all the crap needed for a family of 4 to go camping it settles out very nicely.

Glad all is good, the OUCH was for the 1 3/4" up front! I was bummed with the 2" I got.:notsure:
If I was in your shoes, I'd wait and see how they settle after you get your cap on. Then go from there. The good thing is you have a few options that you know will improve an already good lift.

Got it. I was also surprised by 1 3/4" up front but I'm happy with the way it looks and drives. Wasn't looking for a huge lift, just something to improve mountain travel.

Any issues with the aligning? Were you able to get the 3/0/0 everyone speaks about?

What are your guys measurements from hub? I belive I received 2" on Drivers side with 1/4" spacer and 2.5" on Passenger side with no spacer.

I am Roughly 22" on Driver Side and 22.5" on Passenger. I am thinking of taking out 1/4" spacer and adding a 1/2" on driver side.

Here are my measurements pre and post lift, hope this helps. I've since added the cap and tools but have not re-measured. Total lift is listed at the bottom. This includes 1/4" space for drivers side lean.

    Pre-lift (6-10-16)
    DF - 20"
    PF - 20 1/8"
    DR - 21 1/4"
    PR - 21 3/4"

    Post-lift (6-12-16) full fuel
    DF - 21 3/4"
    PF - 22"
    DR - 24 1/4"
    PR - 24 3/4"
    * front = 1 3/4" & 1 7/8"
    * rear = 3"

The lean is not your suspension, it's your body mount bushings. Search "body mount bushing install" and check the titles only box. I've played this game already.

You think it would be with truck being a 2014 DCSB with only 20,000 miles?

    Thanks

Yep. The '12+ trucks seem to have worse bushings than the older ones. Mine were way worse than pics from another member's '05.
