I'm starting the ghetto plasti dip... using the hood as a test area to see how bad I am at this.
Things I have learned so far:
    12 cans isn't enough
    Black is hard to cover
Having a bad paint job makes it harder
    Arizona is hot
Getting dirt stuck in the 3rd coat is irritating

Picture is after the 3rd whole can was used on just the hood.

    More to come

Drove down to check on the house. Looks like I have some walls up. Ready for that 3-car garage.

Just installed my set today. Pretty happy with the fit, the plastic buckles are ok, can't seem to figure out how keep the excess ties tight in the buckle tie.

The material is A++ . Perfect for my needs.

I'm not personally a huge fan of the sound but I'm most likely going to replace the muffler.it's definitely louder than factory but not overwhelming. Only reason I don't don't like it is that it sounds really bubbly inside.

    Same as everybody else...
Washed and waxed, also detailed the interior. Course the wife gave me the "you never do that to my ride" so I washed and waxed her Sante Fe. My arms are sore but it's done at least for awhile.0618161444.jpg

not really tacoma related but i did drive it to walmart and picked up 2 of the ozark trail hopper coolers for 60 bucks. One for the pops and one for my self. same capacity compared to the yeti 40l hopper.

Yeah, I used 1 can per wheel to get a nice solid coat back when and I've never seen anyone get an even coat from rattle cans. You need the gun others mentioned. If you haven't already, check out Fonzies videos on the plastidip YouTube channel. Good luck and keep us posted.

looks like your doing a good job. i've never tried such a large area before. on your last couple of coats hold back from the surface and seee if it'll even out some. when it completely dries hopefully it'll even out some more also. good luck and keep us posted
