    I've been shopping for tailgate lettering and came across this OEM version quite by accident. I realize there are some 3rd party items that are of good quality and less expensive, so this is just an FYI for those looking for OEM style.

    As a sidenote, I'm not a big fan of chrome, but my truck is black and already has chrome trim items, so FWIW :)

    It's not OEM. Toyota doesn't offer the lettering for the Tacoma yet, only the Tundra. Best to only buy the set from the member on here.

    Hmmm... Several Toyota dealers list them in their parts catalog as OEM. Let me dig into this further, and sorry for the false alarm in the meantime. Will update later.

    He sends you an extra T test out your application skillz. Also, the glovebox decal is a great accent (he sends you two of those)!

    If you go to OP's link, it says it is Toyota OEM and being sold by a Toyota Dealership. Not trying to slam Rich which offers much more and in different colors. Just trying to clear the air...

    The letters mentioned by the OP appear to be an OEM, port installed option ($100) for the SouthEast region that they are also offering on Amazon for a discounted price of $55. They look great, and it really just comes down to whether you want the "filled in" look, or the "painted on" look. I expected Toyota would jump into the game eventually.

    I ordered this lettering set (out of curiosity as much as anything else), and it just arrived. As an FYI, they are NOT chrome at all, but rather closer to stainless steel or nickel and have a textured rather than smooth, glossy finish. Attached is a pic of one of the letters and the part number sticker lying across my stainless steel kitchen sink. LOL When I get around to installing them, I'll update this thread.

    Good post, and that's what I found out as well after further research. I even found an installation manual that says "Southeast Toyota" at the top of the document as opposed to a specific dealer or aftermarket entity. I'm not sure how I feel about these yet...still pondering choices, including your product. :)

    I'm going to add another :thumbsup: for @rrentrop, he did me right via fleaBay. I was looking for specific black reflective vinyl Tacoma lettering which he did not stock. I ordered the vinyl had it shipped to him he in turn cut me my letters and shipped it out the very next day. That's what I call excellent customer service.
