Whew! Glad you got to drive the whole way! I suppose there was too much snow at Logan Pass to hike to Hidden Lake?

Yup unfortunately :( but we just rolled into Moab for our last leg!

We got a big rainstorm plus snow mixed in our first day there, and the wind was 60+ mph second day so we didn't get to hike at all. We played "those" tourists and drove the road and took quite a few good pics.

Snow...wind...sounds like a normal MT summer to me!

Hope you enjoyed yourselves regardless. Post up some pics when you get home!

Hello Lisa, my wife just spent a week out in Wyoming and Montana visiting Grand Teton, Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, she had a great time hiking with her friend. Her friend took most of the pictures and posted them on FB. I tried several times to get her to move out there but she likes the beach too much.

Hidden Lake was open by June 30, but Highline Trail was still closed due to snow.

I will when I have an hour or so to dedicate to it. My only home internet connection is a Verizon 4G cell tower exactly 2.1 miles away, so it takes ages to upload photos. Will definitely try though.

Lisa might chastise me for this, but we skipped Yellowstone altogether. After 4 days with crowds at Grand Teton, we decided to head up to Glacier to get away for a while. Stopped at a lot of places along the way . . . . there's some sweet hiking trails in the national forests throughout MT, WY, ID that are much less crowded. We were driving a new gray Grand Cherokee (rental). I did see a sweet black 2nd gen DCSB on the Ashton-Flagg road, you weren't there anytime were you?

 If you were already fed up with the crowds 5 minutes after landing in Jackson its probably for the best that you skipped Yellowstone! Come back in the spring or fall and do it then, still busy but more manageable.

It was at least 24 hrs :D

My job requires a ton of patience with the general public, didn't want to have to draw on that during vacation too. We definately plan to come back in during autumn in the future sometime, partly due to the elk and bison migration, and partly to fully explore Yellowstone and GT. My wife is a teacher, so kinda hard to do with the whole two personal days she gets per year . On the bucket list though!!
