I do plan on buying the Bora 1" spacer just to get them slightly more flush with the fender.

Are you anticipating some rub after that installation?

Nice rides, fellas. You all still on stock suspensions today?

Is it just an illusion that these bigger tires make the Tacoma look beefier or does backspacing on the wheels help with the illusion (extending the tires further out of the well)? 'Cause it seems to me that some of the trucks with stock suspension are somewhat comparable to others with lifts (appearance wise).

Got 'em (Bora 1") on my truck. Did so BEFORE lifting, with 265/75/16 Duratracs (and stock TRD OR wheels) . No rub. Now lifted almost 3" with no ill effects. Looks MUCH better.

A combination of both aggressive tires and back spacing will assist in making a stock truck look lifted. It did for me at least.

Well, technically, bigger and more aggressive tires should lift the truck an inch higher, right?

265/70/17 tires are as big as you'll fit on stock suspension.

I've tried both the 1.25 inch Spidertrax and 1 inch Bora. Depends how aggressive of a stance you want. Both high quality and I've never had any issues. Have beat both up on trails as well. In the picture above I had the Spidertrax 1.25 spacers. In these pics I'm running the Bora 1 inch.

    I don't think there's a lift, papi. This is a stock suspension thread. :)

Running the Toyo AT II 265/70/17 on a 17x8.5 rim. Stock suspension, I do have a little rub when turning left on my front right tire. Not when fully locked, at about a 1/4 turn there is a little rub on the fender then nothing. Rubs in a parking lot when turing left under no weight shift. I did some off roading over the weekend and there was no other rubbing. Unfortunately, I am going to need to trim a little bit to avoid rubbing.

Bora 1" it is. I thought the 1.25" Spidertrax might be a little much and I think i'm right with those pics. Thanks for posting them up.

Here's stock TRD OR wheels, Goodyear Duratrac 265/75/16's, and 1" Bora spacers. Tread is just about even with outer edge of fender flairs. Legal and a wider stance too....

Thanks, I have the TRD Pro lift on mine. Very minimal. You can see the details in my signature. Wheels are 4Runner Trail Edition and BFG KO2 tires.

The first pic added in post #613 has no lift. Pics in post #615 does have a small lift. Mainly posted it to show the difference stances with wheel spacers.

Just had BFG 265/70/17's put on my stock 2010 TRD Sport Pre-Runner. Just got back from testing them on some Forest Service Roads. No rubbing at all. Quite pleased with them.
