    * I have for sale a Peripheral Electronics Ipod2Car adaptor used to connect an Ipod to your factory Toyota Stereo. It is model: PXDP (Version 1.4.1) and includes the Toyota adapter (I also have a Ford adapter for this in the event that you want to add it to a ford vehicle-hey not everyone can afford a Toyota :D).

I purchased this a while back from another TW member but never got around to using it. Brand new price is $100+. I will sale it for $30 plus shipping.

PM me if interested in purchasing it.

Does this adapter work with factory in-dash changers?

My understanding is that it should work with in dash changers like the Tacoma has but will not work with vehicles that have external changers because it utilizes the port that the external changer is plugged into.

I'm confused on how these work... how would you select this source?

I believe it would just replace the source you hook it up to, making the previous source useless. At least that's how other ipod connections work and this one appears to be similar.

It hooks up to the external CD port.

Yes, it will work on factory 6 disc changer (I used to own one of these).

If you have an external disc changer already, then you can't use this - or - unplug the external disc changer from the port on the radio.
