Not a good day for me today. Dead battery this morning that needs replacement because of the dead cells and now this shit.... May or may not be related, though I don't see how this could be related to the battery in any way. May, however, be related to the lift/new tires.

I had 1" Toytec spacer, 1.5" ICON AAL 3-pack and 285/75r16 put on this past Monday. Everything was fine up until this morning.... shit, not even that. Everything was fine up until an hour ago.

Now when starting from a full stop, if I just let the foot off the brake and just let it roll everything is smooth, but If I accelerate just a tiny bit, it feels like back tires are skipping and the whole truck vibrates until it reaches 10mph or so. Everything feels ok after that.

I'm going to pull video from my dash cam right now to see if the vibration is visible.

Did you guys install a Carrier Bearing drop kit? I had the same and added that and boom gone. also could be balancing. As Toyota did my balancing on my new TRD Beadlocks and Cooper ST/MAXX tires. After a couple of months with the carrier bearing drop the rear still felt like it vibrated. So I went to a Mom and Pop tire place and had them pull the wheels and tires off. Had them check each tire and wheel with me standing there. Each wheel was 2 ounces up to 3 ounces.

Crap.... Did that manifest right away or took some time? My steering wheel is a little off-center after the alignment, but the guys at the shop told me to drive 250 miles or so for the things to settle and bring it back and see if it still needs an adjustment. Perhaps they can fix it for me tomorrow

I have a carrier bearing drop just didn't install it yet. I had enough wrenching after doing the whole lift.

My vibration is not nearly as bad as what you describe though, but it's still present.

I'm gonna get an alignment after a week of driving, my alignment really isint that bad after the install I was pretty surprised, but I'm sure something is still off.

I'm betting the carrier bearing drop is gonna solve the minute vibration though

Re-torque the u bolts just to eliminate that. Mine needed to have it done not too long after installing an aal.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this yet, but you may need to install a carrier bearing drop.

What's the torque supposed to be on those?

Noy sure, I wanna say 83. If you look at the Toyota exploded print it says 30-something which is incorrect. It's been discussed several times.

I can't believe no one yet mentioned the carrier bearing in this thread. had to do all research myself! lol

Anyway, my old bearing was cracked in a half (sorry, no photos, phone was dead). Have no idea how that happened. Truck came lifted 1.75" in the front from the factory. I added another 1" and 1.5" in the back, so there was no drastic angle changes there.

So got the new bearing installed. The shop also cleaned and lubed my leaf springs and bushings, they were squeaking like crazy before. New bearing, labor and taxes ended up being $383.... Now that I sit here and think about it, the price seems rather high... The bushing is like $40, and maybe 2 hours of labor tops should not be that much.

Well, the vibration came back. Different kind, but it was there.

Another $426 in, I got a transmission flush, a new U-joint and the truck drives like new now.
