just go to your local auto paint store and ask for the 3m 2x12 press on tape. Very easy to use.

Just ordered a set of 17" Ray10's and am getting BFG KO2's 285/70/17's. I am probably ordering from headstrong, 4-5100's, Toytec coils assembled and Deaver leaf AAL's. My plan is to bring my 2wd OR TRD up a bit a level out for the tires.

Question, I no zip what a UCA is for but here it a lot here. Would it be any benefit and worth the extra $ to buy UCA's and if so what ones for the money, I know headstrong sells the LR Luca's but again have no clue.

Also what are they for and the benefits!

I still have to find some one here to do the lift and mounting wheels and tires, 4wheelparts in SA told me they wont do it unless I buy the parts from them but I don't want too! Any one from San Antonio who knows a top notch installer, please let me know!

    Thanks from

How does one even get one of those things? I'd imagine walking into a car lot and telling the sales person "I'm looking for a Chevy Colorado that has no bed or room for my stuff and yet manages worse milage than a suburban?" Right this way sir:evil:

I got my TRD Pro Wheels with my Nitto Terra Grappler G2s put on; also put black tailgate letters on. Definitely think I am going to de-badge the rest of it though.

Wheels/tires/lamin-x/and black tail gate lettering...Bilsteins go in tomorrow. 275/70 BFG. By the way, what PSI is everyone running? They put 50 PSI but it seems like a bit much.

...^^^... Very nice & classy looking ... ... I could never take that truck into a mud puddle in the street ... much less off road ...

FWIW ... I run 35 PSI (front & back) on OEM tires.

De-badged tailgate and added black 4x4 and did the bumper end caps in Plasti Dip (rattle can). Don't like the way the plasti dip in a rattle can layed on, its like a cheap bed liner. So Ill be removing them again, sand blasting the plasti dip off and prep and paint them. I was trying to be lazy and try something new. I've got the black letter inlays, just didn't get to them.

Sport 4x4 DCSB. .85 on front. Bills in back with sumos. I think the max pressure for the tires is 52. But that is for fully loaded weight. I figured I would split the difference between 32 and 52. Ride seems fine. Not hoppy or too stiff. Mpg average 30/70%-hwy/city is 18.7 - 19.2. 3.5 with AT. It sits pretty level. The sumos add 5/8" in the rear. image.jpg
I need to take some updated pics. Truck has changed a bit. And there are now leafs on the trees.

That inferno color is growing on me. Nice looking truck. I have not seen many inferno sports.

Just a wash and Mothers Carnauba wax, to bad it doesn't last long. It's so shiny. Picture doesn't do it justice.

Most put after market UCA's to give more adjustability after a high lift. The stocks can only be adjusted to a certain point. It's about geometry required to keep the wheels sitting correctly in 2 linear planes. If you can picture a slot in steel. The screw in the slot can only move from one end of the slot to the other end. Simplified by swapping UCA's the slot becomes longer on each end. If the geometry is wrong then your tire could (1) lean too far front to rear causing the tire to hit the front or rear of the fender well or (2) the tire leans in toward the engine or leans out away from the engine that would cause funny tire wear. These are called caster and camber.

    This weekend:

    From this...

    ...to this...

    ...and now this.

Gunmetal FX Pro 17x8 from FN Wheels by @JdMeF9SiR2
Cooper Discoverer AT3 285/70/17 from ebay
Front Differential Drop from @ToyTec Lifts
Icon Stage 4 System with Tubular Upper Control Arms from autoanything.com
**Installed Icon myself. Started in the back but once I got to the front, after trying to remove the passenger UCA bolt, I realized that wasn't happening. So I ordered a pair and finished the rest of the suspension. Will do UCAs next week after the bolts come in so I can just cut the originals out.
