Fullerton. Yeah I think you had some input when I was using the search to find shops to do suspension around the area.

No work done yet. Still researching what I am going to get, debating what I really need and what I'll really be doing with the truck vs what I want to get and whether it would be overkill. What I want is Icon stage 2 or 3. Truth is fox 2.0 would probably be more than I need, but it's not really that much more for 2.5 coilovers. Just looking for a 1.5 to 2 in lift to run around in the desert with.
For the rear, 2.0 Rear shocks and icon 1.5 AAL are pretty much what I'll do and what comes with the icon kit anyway.

The debate between icon stage 2 and 3, well I know they say a 2 inch lift may not need UCAs, but is it a possibility I might? Then I might as well go stage 3 and get the extended travel....that's what I'm always debating.

If memory serves me correct, don't quote this, you 2016+'s have an extra inch of lift at stock so a 2" lift for you is actually a 3" lift for a 2nd gen...

It's $700 according to the website for the upper arms which is pretty inline with what buying the arms off the shelf would run you. Keep in mind between a stage 2 and 3 kit you're getting 2.5" front shocks and 2.0" rear shocks either way. It's not until stage 5 you get 2.5" on both axles. Extra diameter shocks really only means you can go faster for longer due to extra oil. Then, it gets worse, if you're gonna shell out for a stage 5 kit, as I did, it's completely worth it for a little extra to get the CDC valves before you go any farther.

It's about $550 difference (approx) between stage 5 and 6 with the same type of arms only difference is you get the CDC valves. I spoke to Icon about installing CDC valves on just my rear shocks and they quoted me $600 or so... :frusty:

It might be a good idea for you to take a swing around in my truck some time soon here so you can see if the Icons even ride a way you'd like them to? @Kloy

I just looked at your pics nice truck. The only thing I have on my truck right now are method NV's. Yeah I've read icons may run stiff on the road but I'm used to that, my previous car was a sporty car I dropped on HKS coilovers with dampening turned up, and I was actually hoping I'd get more of that kind of stiffer sporty feel on the asphalt.

It gets some of that especially at first as the springs (especially the rear) soften up/wear in it gets squishy again. My truck feels especially squishy as I took the sway bar off the front.

    Thanks for the compliment!

I guess I am incognito too. All I have done is some bigger tires and some led's. Must not be built enough either.

I'm the exact same way. I actually tend to discount light bars especially if I see it debadged with no CVs hiding under there. I look for armor, nice shocks poking out, dirt and signs she's been driven, antennas are a huge telling point as well. Bed mounted/gated full size spares, etc.

Lights and offroad tires with running boards and I'm not even gonna look twice.

I'm with ya. I have a 4" lift, 285s on new wheels, and a few little unnoticeable mods. the only thing that sets my truck apart is the TW sticker on the back window. more mods coming with more pay :)
