There was one of those here in eastern PA 30 years ago, it was great. Lifts, air, heat lights, real nice. Then morons started painting cars in there and they shut it down.

One of the most underrated military benefits. Most all bases have the auto-hobby shop that is pretty much exactly like this. They have every tool known to man and you can check them out for free. The best part is all of the gear heads that hang around there. If you show up with parts and scratch your head for a few minutes a gang will come over and help you along / do the job themselves. Lots of corporate knowledge and they are more than happy to help/do the work. Also it only costs about $3 a hour, which I think is well worth it. This is one benefit that the DoD definitely has right.

x10000 I have used them a ton! in the winter they are a must! I did my hid swap there just so I would be inside when doing it. Cost like 3 bucks to rent a bay for an hour.

Love it. They used to have those in College Station, TX years ago. My dad would tell me stories about how they'd have car washes that also had lifts and stuff so you could work on your car. They simply faded away because the land became so valuable that they were sold.
