I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
I just took into possession a 05 Tacoma with 56000 miles on it.

While driving, it sounds like something inside the driver side door is rattling. Any idea what it could be? The storage compartment underneath the passenger seats is empty, save for the standard jack, etc.

could be a number of things. but i know in my old honda accord when i heard something rattling in the door it was some broken glass that had fell inside from the outside. if the window rolls up fine and the door handle works too then i would only assume its nothing broken inside the door but something from the outside got in.

Yeah, everything works as it should be.

Could it possibly be something from the bed? The storage compartment lids knocking around?

I am looking at the same truck but it has 48,000 miles on it. What was the dealer/private owner asking for your truck? :D

When you shut your drivers door does it make rattle noise ?
If so look on the inside door jam of the door towards the bottom there is a 10 mm bolt that might be loose it holds the window track they have been known to come loose.

Could be the seat belt bolt. On mine it slides around enough to rattle.

Check edmunds.com for prices of a used or new truck.

Just FYI, 2008 tacoma has a $2000 rebate till the end of July.
