I am now officially released from all medical restrictions! Good to go! No need to go back for 6 months! Doctor was busy. Nurse practitioner (who looks just like a young Shania Twain) did the exam. I volunteered over and over, but she said there was no need for me to take my pants off....

Great news man. No more excuses not to get out to Black Mountain like you're itching to.

That's right! We did get a little bit of off roading over the weekend. My buddy who just put together the Jeep XJ got his first experience on the trails. He did great. (Learned from the best...!!!) Since we got back, he's called me 3 times to talk about the NEXT trip. He was telling me that he couldn't even sleep Saturday night after going. Just too excited. So we might have a Jeep tagging along with us when we go to Harlan.

We have about 4 or 5 weekends of events at work, then things calm down. I'm gonna take a few vacation days here and there so I can get in the woods! I'm starting to make plans for a weekend @ Harlan. Probably rent one of the big cabins and make a 2 or 3 day trip out of it!

I've been told I work 6 day weeks until I reach retirement age..... :ballchain:

The only constant I've ever found in life is, everything will change at some point. We're managed by a board of directors that is scheduled for an election in late September. Things may change after that. I really do want my 5 day week back. I'm too old for this shit.

Where he's at, he'd do well to post in the Indiana thread too. Just hop across the bridge and go to Interlake. I got a couple "locals" here that want to do Interlake soon. May be checking it out before too long. I've been all over it on dirt bikes years ago.

October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd......(Fri/Sat/Sun) TW trail run @ Putney Camp ground. Black Mountain, Harlan Ky. Those who would like to go in on a cabin, speak up!

Here's my plan. It's subject to change and I'd like your input. Drive down Friday, play a little, have a cook out, get a good night sleep (or, pass out....:boom:) Get up early Saturday, wheel all day:mudding:, end up back at the cabin for another cook out. Up Sunday for a few hours on the trails, then drive home. Wives or girlfriends welcome. (Just not both at the same time please)

Feel free to offer suggestions. I'm scheduling vacation time around these dates, so they may be locked in before long. I'll get more info on cabin rental and depending on how many are interested, we'll split the cost. Various sizes of cabins are available.

Black Mountain has a wide assortment of trails to suit any level of off roader. From mild to wild!

This is the weekend AFTER the 2016 Fall Crawl.....

Did everyone fall off the edge of the earth?

Anyone interested in Interlake (State Recreation Area) on August 6th (Saturday)? That's west of Louisville, close to Evansville Indiana.

Interested? Yes. Likely to be able to attend? No.

I've already got plans that weekend in Nashville.

In other news, I'll be ordering lots of maintence parts this weekend then the Taco will be down for a bit while I work on it around the work schedule. Waterpump, timing belt, wheel bearings, clutch master cylinder, pads, rotors :goingcrazy:
