    What it looks like you have there is an EMT (electrical metallic tubing) compression connector which will NOT work on GRC (galvanized rigid conduit) EMT is thin wall whereas GRC is heavy wall. You have a few options here, one, you can purchase a threaded "hub" or two, a rigid compression connector, if you go the route of a rigid compression connector you will need to cut the threads off your pipe. If this is a service as you indicated and the conduit you're showing is coming from the utility you will have to bond the connector since a concentric knockout is still present. Or you can purchase Schedule 80 Electrical PVC (gray PVC) if your AHJ (authority having jurisdiction/inspector) allows it.

    Since I really have no idea what you're trying to accomplish I can only offer limited information. I can offer this bit of advice though. Unless you are a qualified and licensed electrician who has obtained a permit be mindful should ANYTHING go wrong with what you're doing NO insurance company will cover your loss. I have over 40 years experience as an electrician nearly half of those years as a contractor. I get concerned when I see things like your photo then read things like you posted. Electricity does not care who you are, what you know or how much money you have, it only knows YOU are the quickest path to ground. DO NOT become the quickest path to ground!!
