What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

That SAS though. Looks like a fun trail!

 

Just barely clear but it's enough...I can hear my tires working now when I hit the brakes and damn i feel like a Porsche when I come to a stop it's amazing cooling brakes off to cycle them.a little bit

 

Brakes feel a little softer then before I did the brake job just a touch is that normal???I used stainless lines also

 

What's holding you up? Do you have a flare/line wrench to get the fittings off?

 

Moving the tree stand

 

Several people have reported similar. It seems like I had slightly more travel as well. It might be due to the larger fluid volume in order to mobilize the calipers.

One thing for sure is that bleeding is not as simple as I thought it would be. It took me several tries to get all the air out. Start at the back passenger side drum and work your way to the front drivers side. Don't forget the bleed valve in the BPV. My BPV valve is letting air/water past so I still don't have a super good bleed yet.

Russel bleed valves help alot. I have replaced all mine with them front and rear.

 

I got.it it's all done,needed alot of break away fluid and a tapping hammer to get loose

Anybody running those triangular frame mounting brackets for remote resi coilovers? I think Icon makes one and maybe Fox/King as well. I need to get my resi's up out of the way.

I got the Callahan bake kit off Amazon and then the stainless lines from wheelers off road in Oregon lines are like $75 and brake kit is like $315, brake fluid and brake clean for like $6

 

Ill probably get that kit. I bought the wheelers lines already knowing I was going to do this soon

 

Replaced the cup holder inserts.
