What's up everyone, i'm about to buy a 2006 tacoma 4 Cyl and was wondering what all I should do to customize it. Definitely wanting some AT's and a lift but don't know what size and don't know how it would look. I am still deciding on fender flares and exhaust please leave your suggestions and pictures below, thanks!

I have a front 2" spacer off eBay,
    Nothing in the back

Could use some bilstein shocks all around to make it more smooth

I personally don't like fender flares but that's up to you image.jpg

2006? First thing to do is check for the frame rust recall issue. If your truck has not already been inspected, time to do it now.

The 'usual' recipe is larger tires and/or rims, a lift-level kit specific to our 5-lugs, and better shocks than OEM. Beyond that, it's your truck, your tastes, and your budget/VISA bills which will dictate what comes next... we can't help with that ;)

What you do with it, depends on what you want to do, with it. I'd strongly recommend taking a week or two to read most of the threads in the 5-lug section, to see what others have done - get ideas to work with, and go from there.

What are the Bilstein's that work on our trucks at OEM height, Will? I have heard some of you guys mention that before but have no idea what would fit.

4600 series are specific to the 5-lug, lift or no lift. Direct OEM replacement.

Honestly, buy a different truck. Just getting a prerunner would be better than lifting that base model, and you're going to spend a ton on parts and eliminating shimmys and aligning etc if you rebuild that entire base suspension.

Any noticeable difference with AFE Pro Dry filter in terms of performance?

Yes on the freeway specially and combined with the eco block by crawford it's much better off the line and less downshifting to 3rd going up freeway hills at 75mph

Color matching the front bumper is something I have often considered.....although that would require a lot of work if going the DIY route.

No offense, but this is a grocery delivery cart with a little motor.

I would consider a 4x4 or Pre-Runner 4.0 before you start dumping money into this tub trying to make it into something it is not or can ever be.

    It just doesn't make sense.

So by saying no offense. It's ok to bash the trucks . To each there own. If It makes them more fun to own and drive what does it matter. It's only money. That shit comes and go's. The good times and memory's in them are priceless. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
