What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Hmm. I'm sitting here and reading up on Magnuson-Moss warranty act, and looks like the dealer has no leg to stand on here. I asked them if they can prove that my aftermarket aux fuse panel and the breaker caused the battery to fail and he said no. Soo, these fuckers have to honor the warranty.

 

Cool! I just picked up a can of white Plastidip. How many cans did bumper take? Prolly like 6 thin coats for good coverage?

I just called my service advisor and mentioned this warranty act. They are going reimburse me to the battery I just bought elsewhere.

For just the bumper, you could get away with a single can.

 

I would grab two.

 

Installed AMSOIL Signature Series 0W-30 Motor Oil in Place of the 5W-30 at 60,000 miles, much better and better MPH and Power range!

 

I got a full tank of gas and drove to work! O and it only cost 33 dollars to fill up from the light on!

Meanwhile.. I added KB Voodoo's bed rack and a Yakima roof rack today!
**Yakima mega warrior roof rack mounts do NOT fit OEM Tacoma roof rack. But nothing a couple zip ties and U-bolts didn't fix.

 

Got some hardware for the bed rails.I'll let you know how it holds a hi lift

For anyone looking for an alternative to the t slot nuts for the bed rail, Lowes has spring nuts in the electrical isle. They had 3/8" ones that I got and they fit in the bed rail well, they do not rotate after putting them in, they just snap in as is, I will post a pic. $4 or something for 5 of em . And you don't have to slide them in from the end of the rail.... I'm building a hi lift mount and shovel/axe/fire extinguisher mounts.

It took me forever to find them and nobody that worked at the store had ever seen them before apparently.
