    Converting your outer tie rods to heims will fix your problem. Will require some fab work tho

    Why is this? I've wanted to convert my steering to full heim but haven't done it since I haven't damage an outer tie rod end. I already have heimed inners so shouldn't be too much work but just wondering what benefits I would gain from it?

    There's always some slop in ball joints, especially with bigger tires. When I had my first kit (dirt king)on my truck it wandered pretty bad and it had 1k miles on it when I put it on. When I went with race kit and heim steering no more slop and has better response than it did stock @ls1 prerunner

    I've heard good and horror stories on Yelp. They're supposed to be relatively inexpensive?

    Looks like they're about $100 cheaper than standard glass, but haven't heard any reviews on them. I think Chris is/was rocking them just fine. I don't think he had any issues with them, but I never asked.

    Check torque on upper control arm bolts, lower control arm bolts / cams, lower uniball adapter, bolts going through your upper and lower heims, bolt holding your UCA to your spindle, your lug nuts, and your power steering rack (two bolts holding it to the frame).

    Now jack the truck up. Grab tire at the 12 and 6 o clock. Shake vertically. Should be no play. If you're getting play, chase it down. Could be wheel bearings. Now grab the tire at the 9 and 3 o clock. Shake horizontally. Should be no play (might be some movement of the steering rack, but you can feel the difference between that and play). Closely watch your tie rod ends (inner and outer) during this check.

    If that doesn't solve it, rotate your tires. Check your intermediate steering shaft for play.

    If that doesn't solve it, take it to a good alignment shop. You need 3-4 degrees of caster minimum.

    I think they're more forgiving for fitment? Check out Extreme Dimensions on Yelp, they're in Fullerton, CA

    So you went from one kit that sucked, to another that is far better and your explanation is sloppy ball joints? You sure it's just not a better engineered kit? Tons of Total Chaos kits running tie rods with no problems...
