interesting info. So it sounds like I shouldn't have any issues with my 265/70/17 ko2s?

I think the black would look good on your truck with the topper!

It's a good looking setup. You could think of it as - imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Any of my Taco Peeps running these wheels with 285's on them with no wheels spacers? I have this deal on the other Forum for 4Runners and people would like to know.

I am in the same boat. I would prefer the 65/17 but I want to be 100% sure before spending that kind of money on these rims just to find out they won't work with the 65/17

Yeah, it sucks that the 65/17s don't work because I definitely want KO2s. I have been planning to get the 70/17s for a while so I was gonna get the wheels no matter what. I just wanted to make sure we got it straightened out before you spent a ton of money. I know a lot of people are running the 70/17s on the Gen 3 stock suspension without issues, but I'm not sure about 2nd Gens.

Before I lifted I put 265/70/17's on my Sport wheels with zero rubbing issues.

So many people say that but then there are some say it rubs. Knowing my luck I would be the one who's truck it rubs on.

Interesting it says that. Because the 265 is the section width which would determine the width of the rim. The 65 indicates aspect ratio which is how tall the sidewall is relative to the section width.

In short, the 265 tires are roughly 10.5 inches wide regardless of which tire is there. The 265/70R17 are 31.6" and the 265/65R17 are 30.6" in diameter.

I would think that either way you go, you'd be fine. The wider rim would probably become much more important when you start getting to 50 series or lower tires. You get sidewall bulge if the section width is wider than the wheel. At low profile tires, that's undesirable.

They may work, but there is no way that I would risk buying a set of tires that are gonna cost me close to $1k after tax and shipping knowing they aren't the right size on paper. Thankfully for me I was planning on getting the 70s the whole time because I already looked into this. I'll let someone braver than myself experiment with the 65s :p

Kinda sorta.. Still confused on if it will or won't. He also said that 65/17 only come in E which I want C so I don't think it matters. Well doe one said it.

Kinda my point. They're the same width but smaller diameter.

In other news, wheels shipped out today and I secured myself the tires so I just pull the trigger when those wheels arrive at my front door.

Pretty pissed, feeling dicked around here, the label was created on thursday, I paid wednesday and they still haven't even been picked up by fedex. Seller is slow to respond to messages if at all. At this time I would advise others to pick a different seller, as this dealer can be found other places.
