If you're referring to Cerritos college, then that's where I go. I think Santa Ana offers it too.

Then 210L for me to get my FCAW Cert, then taking the seminar when it's available.

Good luck to you as well! Yeah, we shall see what classes are going to open up with the new instructor that hired in. Are you usually there at nights? I don't recall seeing your Tacoma during the mornings.

Ha! Finally getting the technique down to put some reinforcement behind the root. It isn't perfect. At all. I can make a uniform flush weld easily but reinforcement has been kicking my ass. Finally showing some improvement (from 8 o'clock almost up to 12 o clock counter clockwise ) hopefully by the end of tomorrow I'll have it down and uniform

My phone takes shitty pictures so the easiest place to see it is about 8oclock but Its like that up around most of it. Turns out I was moving too slow burning up the bevel. Now I'm keeping the tungsten on the filler metal using a forward -backward motion.

Makes it much easier to do just like the real world .

Very seldom does one GTAW on old dirty tube and pipe because it is almost impossible to get clean enough

    Best of luck

Once again I had to charge someone $100.00 plus for not taking the time to read the operators/ user manual with there new Welder

For some reason the Purchasing Agents like to grab these things and put them away so nobody ever gets a look.

These new machines have so many features I can`t keep up so customers are for every doing things wrong.

I agree, these multi use welders have more features than most will use.

Get a decent, single feature welder and master it.

Finally got my tube welding down. I'm confident in taking a combo test now. Went back up to my welding school to use their machines and practice. Its much easier learning how to Tig with an actual Tig welder with a proper amp dial lo .

Next you will be trying to weld with a open powercable in the Torch.

Best one this week was a Service call for no output

115 Volt Miller Feeder with the Gun the work cable connected to the weld Power bolt

It is really sad they just could not figure out why it had no output .

It took some explaining that what you have is just the feeder you need a power source to provide welding voltage.

    It pays the bills !!

I'm looking to teach myself and learn on my own how to weld MIG. What's a good portable MIG unit (disregarding outrageous prices but I understand I'll need to pay to play for a solid new unit)? Also, what other accessories and/or tools do I need?

look at the new Hobart`s Great Hobby type welder .

I really suggest taking some classes it is so easy to learn bad habits .

Though I must say my study of Gynecology from videos is coming along well
