Sorry susan, I hope you are better.

111° right now, 1745. AC can just keep up with the heat.

Thanks Andy. I am... that was weird. Stay cool, or as cool as your AC will let you.

 yeah, probably won't be pretty.

I love my trees since they shade a good bit of my house, to help keep it cooler. Finally had trees shading the whole back of my house and then I chopped them down :anonymous: In another couple of years, I'll have shade again.

Just a note that it was 101° at 2200

I have 5 big trees around my house, 3 oak and 2 ash, and they are all positioned perfectly to shade all my neighbors houses during the hot hours.

Nope....! do NOT do THAT again boys....

    Let me set the stage...

The road we live on has 7 houses. All 7 have 4wd's in the driveway. One guy has 5. So, collectively, we have quite a few friends with 4wds....

Last night, around 12:30, I hear someone pounding on my front door. After I get the idea they aren't going to quit just because I'm ignoring them, they get greeted by my smiling face and a Remington 870 shotgun barrel. 2 semi-intoxicated young men....muddy a can be, and looking just a little scared at this point. They thought someone else would answer the door. They were looking for one of my neighbors to come pull them out of a mud hole. Stuck their Jeep Cherokee while out drinking. A friend of a friend told them to go ask Carl, my neighbor, who has a beater Bronco with a winch, if he'd pull 'em out. They were in a muddy corn field about a 1/2-mile away. apparently they'd already asked another neighbor, who called the police. While on my front porch, the police show up. Not sure how their misadventure turned out.....but I can about guess. Last I saw 'em, they were getting cuffed.

    I went back to sleep.

Wife slept through the entire episode.

    Another day in the life......
