My 1925 mosin nagant made in Tula so it's got the star and arrow symbol. $144 at big 5 bought 500 rounds surplus and spent a good day or two using hot water and elbow grease to get the cosmoline off of it. Totally worth it, plan to help the wood a little bit but don't want to get rid of all the good sxratches from being used. The only thing I've done so far is add a rubber stock since this sucker hurts! Learned that the bayonet it comes with is actually a flat head screwdriver used to take apart the gun. Imagine having some 16 year old Russian charging you with a blunt screwdriver 12inches long back in the day!

The best way for me to help with the decision in my way of thinking is, you already have one or more of one category so go with the one that you don't have one of which in this case is the winch

It loses it's novelty right away. Better off with 2 30 rounders.

I know a bunch of guys that want to buy drums, but I tell them to stay away. 30 rds- easier to carry, easier to load, easier tactical reload, and no one makes a molle pouch for the 60 round drum so in a "tactical situation" (however unlikely), once you're empty, it's useless unless you have 20 minutes of cover to reload. I suppose you can throw it at the threat... :notsure:

absolutely.. form over function for sure.. at least in the civilian market anyways. just the "cool" factor and the occasional 100 round dump (if my trigger finger doesnt wear out first) might be cool.. lol

All you talking about CA gun laws and I am sitting in Texas with my 30rd Pmags, Suppressor, etc etc... just another reason why CA is one state I don't mind never visiting.
