    just got mine in, any idea if this is the right one for the tacoma? It looks bigger than the pictures i've seen online and the part number matches that of the fj cruiser. I think they sent me the wrong one..?

    Listing states it fits the 2005 to 2015 Tacoma and FJ 2007 TO 2014. All I can say is p.m. the seller and he would be better for fitment issues

    Apologies for the delayed response. I finally found time to install mine this afternoon. I had concerns similar to @Tobs1988 when I looked at the new stick. FWIW, I suspect the photos associated with many listings for these shifters are "stock," and not photos of ACTUAL parts. After confirming the part (PTR04-35070) is supposed to fit both FJs and Tacomas, I proceeded with intall...

    Install was EASY and uneventful. ZERO problems. Definitely prefer shifting with it, over stock shifter. As expected throw is ~30% shorter and engagement is crisp. One thing I noted is getting into reverse is much harder than with the stock stick. I'm hoping that loosens-up a little as it breaks-in, but it's NOT enough of a detractor to go back to stock.
