Anyone happen to know size/thread for the UCA nut that goes on the long bolt? I need to double nut mine since it keeps loosening.

did it, i want added protection. Tired of dicking with tightening the nut.

 

Uhhhhmmmm no idea off the top of my head. I'm gonna have to go get some blue loctite anyways, I keep finding loose bolts like every day, even if I put a wrench on everything. Mostly just on work days because going up Waterfront road is a fuckin whup section in its own right lol

Mine stopped loosening up as often after I got the tc gussets on with blue loctite

Also the only local place I could find that thread pitch nut was the Martinez home depot (the one by cue & brew)

 

When I'm hunting for very specific fasteners/hardware, I generally have better luck at Lowe's and even better luck at Ace hardware stores. Emigh Hardware, a local Sac franchise of Ace, is a killer hardware store and has a phenomenal fastener section. I recommend everyone go check out their local Ace if you haven't recently.

 

My local ACE may be a tad higher priced, but I've found many items there that I couldn't find at the local BIG retailer.

 

local ACE is the real MVP here. $1.30 for a handful of bolts/nuts

 

I'll take "tad higher priced" over "non-existent/shitty quality fasteners" any day.

Mine has a stunning selection of stainless and metric, and also grade 5 and 8. Occasionally, and depending on the other errands I'm running, I'll go hit West Marine for stainless, but they are more expensive. Opposite side of town, and less selection.
