    Yeah.
I use the Shimano XT Trail pedals on all my bikes. Tried some combo pedals over the winter on the fat bike, but I found my feet bouncing off the pedals at times when going over fast, rough terrain when only using the flat side. I didn't like that at all. Once you get used to them it's great. Way better than those old toe clips, those things were a death trap.

I have been using Crank Brothers new enduro mallet (the blue ones) before that I was using regular silver mallets. I can't really tell a difference only my wallet can! I find that CB work better for me than shimano specifically after a muddy hike a bike session.

    Yeah.
Just checked those out, those are nice. I've seen multiple people trash CrankBros pedals on rocks (mostly eggbeaters) so I have not really kept up with them. But these are a nice size and design (the mallets are just overkill for around here). May have to get some FiveTens and these for the new bike.

I have bashed mine on rocks but only the platform part and they work perfectly still. I always thought eggbeaters were more for road or xc. I got the new impact vxi clipless from 510 and they are awesome. Super light weight and you can walk well in them, only dislike is they run 1/2 too big, but that can be remedied. They dry super fast when you take them off so they are good for multi day stuff

Getting new brake today, don't ask how I broke the others... Let's just say I wasn't riding it at the time.

I live North of Atlanta. Blankets Creek and Rope Mill are my two main spots. I ride up in Chattanooga every other weekend at Enterprise or Biology Trails. Raccoon mountain is great as well. I've been wanting to make it up to some trails in NC and SC this year.

Below my Tallboy and my GT Zaskar.

Haha sorry I was so embarrassed racing to get the bike off my truck I didn't take pictures. Luckily it was just the warning signs that hit my bike and not the roof of a building. Just ripped out the brake hose. I had already bent a lever in an earlier wreck. So, like a tacoma on tacomaworld if you get a scratch on your bumper might as well upgrade haha.

haha no worries, that's the biggest thing that worries me about putting the bike on the roof. ive taken out limbs before and gotten lucky that I didn't do any damage to her. and hell yea gotta upgrade the broken parts!

Been there but ran my bike into my garage when it was on top of my TSX. I was lucky the rack popped off so the bike did not see much damage but the roof of the car did :(

Just picked up my first new bike since 2007, and my first full suspension bike ever. Its an Intense Spider Carbon Expert Build (full XT) 27.5". I never thought I'd see mountain bikes costing as much as a used car, but that seems to be the norm now. Screw it-you only live once and might as well have nice shit to play with! The thing is fricking amazing on the trails!

Sweet bike man. I've always wanted an Intense. I hear you about bikes costing more than cars though.....

I worked in a bike shop in college, and I saw bikes that had been "improperly garaged" all the time. But I am always surprised it doesnt happen more....
