Agreed, that's what makes me a bit nervous, my lack of experience.

No matter WHAT career path you choose, employers want to see that you're able to:
    1. Communicate well
    2. Meet deadlines (and if you can't meet a deadline, see #1).
    3. Show responsibility and how you can take initiative to accomplish a task.

On your resume, list some small examples of how you do (or did) these three items and you'll do fine. Most of them will hire for your ability, not your current experience.

    Good luck!

Nothing to worry about, forget all that experience shit. Just walk in like you own the place and start swinging. It'll either happen or not.

Op, put it this way... your choice of avatar proves that you're no idiot :) But don't do a Spicoli and tell your new boss when you're late "Just couldn't make it on time".

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

IT is a bit of a volatile bitch tho. I just got my 3rd no warning, no severance layoff a week ago. 80+% of the company got shitcanned out of the blue.

    *shrug*

Plan ahead. I still love what I do, and I expect these kinds of things to happen on occasion. Being a sysadmin is a worthy profession if you can handle the burnout stress.

The best and worst thing ever.

I'm far closer friends with my server at home than any company I've ever worked for. I come to find the biggest stupidest fuck heads are the ones calling the shots, to the detriment of everyone else.
