Yea the gnats and heat were pretty bad this year. Curious as to what time frame it'll be next year. I usually have the summers off for work, so anytime other than that will be kinda hard to get time off.

Scientific process, @NYCO will take many trips to sample weather and bugs. Once all the data is collected a new "optimal" date will be set........................ Rough life

My only concern is August = hot AF September = a lot of people cant go because of school starting. Maybe late September could work because by that point people have been in school a few weeks and don't mind missing class like they would in the beginning. Realistically I have no idea I'm just thinking out loud lol

If it's a choice between a smaller crowd and avoiding the 100 degree days and gnats then the choice is easy.

Based on my 2 previous Moab visits.

Early Oct is pretty awesome. We got rain 1 day which was snow up high. The top of The Whole Enchilada bike ride was already closed.

Thanksgiving is very slow and pretty cold. Hovering around freezing overnight. I've heard it can be great like my weekend 2 years ago or SLOPPY.

October and early November are probably on the radar.
