    I have a few mods
try using imgur, that's how my photos are coming out bigger. Im still a novice with my Nikon D3300, I dont really use the filters that I have, not sure why. But I go through Light Room 6 to edit all of my photos since I shoot manually with my camera and in RAW. I dont think (to me) it looks too bad for beginning

Yeah I use LR 6 also and use the gradient tool on it often. I wanted the option of using filters. Truthfully a 10 stop ND filter. I "can" stack these and move them up and down the filter holder to take shorter exposure shots to get the glassy waterfall etc... if I like. Like you I only shoot in RAW. and I would say half the time in Aperture priority mode and the rest of the time in full manual.

I posted a shot off Flickr yesterday after the Photobucket shot and although better it still didn't look nearly as good as the original. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong?

If you open up my Flickr account and look at the cat picture and zoom in it is still blurry. In the original picture you can make out the individual hairs on his back. Not so with the Flickr picture.

No... That looks wonderful. I'm sure I'm not uploading it correctly. Maybe I should upload it directly from LR rather than picking the file out of the directory.

Anyone have any ideas on how to tone down the headlights when light painting? I was thinking of putting a dark film over them.

You could leave them off for most of the exposure then turn them on after you are mostly done for 5-10%ish of the duration of the entire exposure.

Are you talking about the original as in when you view it in LR or original as the jpeg you exported from LR? In LR you're viewing the full resolution image. The exported jpeg is a lower resolution that the quality can be changed when you are exporting it.

^^^This and you could try to find a slightly different angle to avoid the glare going right into the lens. You could also try some light painting with a flashlight to light the truck up some. You could also do it with multiple shots and then combine them all in post. As long as you leave the camera on the tripod and don't move it everything will line up when you combine them.

No... the jpeg looks great when viewed on the computer. Not so much with either online storage system that I've found.

I just found an old photo binder and this gem was in it.

Back in my film days I submitted a photo to Jones Soda. They actually put it on their bottles and sent me some labels. I am the one on the far left (17 years old).

Took a picture of the car today after getting the full windshield tinted (yes... I know it's illegal as hell but it's tinted at 50% which isn't much at all)

The cool thing about this photo is I used a 10 stop ND filter at a 40sec exposure. My daughter was walking around the car as it was being taken but it made her disappear which I thought was cool. One other thing of note. The windshield has no glare from the sun off of it. You can just see the reflection of the clouds.
