That's weird - the no contact thing and no coming home for a death . I wouldn't like that either. she has a good time and things work out.

idk susan you know how it goes being a parent sometimes you just can't make sense of what they are thinking she says she needs to find herself her purpose. she's quiting her job and putting firefighting on hold to go. i left home when i was 18 into the army. i wouldn't say to find myself i was trying to prvide a life for christie and myself we were married young. the army told me who i was i didn't need to find anything. the kids came much later so christie and i had time to explore and kinda figure life out

I'm 2.5 hrs or 165 miles southeast of Bakersfield

Sky still choked with smoke but not as bad as yesterday . Still have ash falling but also has decreased some

He should be about 60-70 miles west of me or 1.50 hrs drive and more direct route to Bakersfield as he's closer to I-5

For me I would head north on I-15 to hwy 58 then head west over Tehachapi mtns towards Bakersfield

Morning all. No worries Chris lots of us are close by, I am 100 miles away. No worries about Mormons, I don't agree with the religion but they are not anything to worry about.

The fires are one big one but are far enough away not to be a worry. We had the station fire a few years back, so the area around me was burned already. The San Gabriel Mountains are very steep and usually have these big fires once a century. They are very hard to fight because of the terrain and fuel, so they just try to keep them from structures and power lines. The problem is for a community like Monrovia, if the wind shifts they could be in trouble.

Good Morning all! Cooler this morning (66*F) and cloudy, no wind, but feels sticky. Hopefully the extra humidity will help the fire effort.

Been having some clunking from my right front, worried it's my LBJ's, they are leaking. 03 DCSB 4x4 101k miles. I don't think I can get them done today I have too many things on the list already, and I have my buddies wedding on saturday. May just take it in to the mechanic-it just kinda rubs me the wrong way to pay for something I think I can do. Never done it before, but don't want to screw it up under a time pressure. Maybe just park it and drive the 02 prerunner till I can get to it.

I've had a small leak for years, I think some of that is normal. Check the other end of the lca, there is a problem where the bushing seizes and the metal plate, used for alignment will turn with the lca, bending the tab, not sure if it would cause a thunk. Then again @Tacoma Mike is the one to ask.

As my daily driver, I am happy to support the local economy and have a shop do some of the work, unless I am on vacation, then I will tackle it myself.
