Backed up into a wooden post. Ordered new taillight assembly. Need to get an estimate on the paint/body work.

 

tip; it's always safe to do a circle around your vehicle before backing out of a parked situation.

you benefit by;

knowing your surroundings
verifying your truck is as you left it
see if anything/anybody crawled underneath (kids)

LOL. Sorry dude. Oh well. Was gonna happen at some point, but I am normally really careful with my cars and my truck is still so new dammit.

 

My exterior is pretty ugly already, not broken until now though.

 

Could only find them for $165 on evilbay. It's ok. Worth the extra money to get it tomorrow.

 

First off walking around your vehicle before backing up does not make you look like a weirdo...that is a requirement to pass the CDL test in NY. And after many years of driving trucks I still peek around my vehicle before I drive off. But more importantly that sucks OP good luck!

or if street parked one on front and one on back street side.

I think the only rational solution to a busted tail light and very minimal amount of body damage is to do the first flat bed SAS'd 3rd gen on 42s with a full exo cage, dual transfer case, and all the other goodies.

I mean, c'mon... who wants to pay for body damage...
