Far too much complaining, not enough appreciation. It does have faults and minor issues. But this thread isnt another one of those. Lets hear some random awesome stuff they did right with the 3rd gen tacoma.

Window switches! Small one but a detail done properly. Auto up and down. Both sides. Not even kidding, cant remember the last car i got in that had them other than german vehicles (they already thought of everything, reengineered and redesigned it more times than anyone can imagine)

    What else?

The fact that you can get a Sunroof. Wish they would have put the auto up/down on all 4 windows like they did with the 4Runner.

Cosmetics -- I LOVE the LED DRL light.

I like that when I walk up to the truck at night, the interior light comes on if I just walk up and near the truck w/o touching anything.

I like how the steering wheel is shaped.

I like that the TPMS screen shows individual tire pressures.

The manual transmission was the selling point for me. Cant imagine not owning a 3 pedal car, and the ratios just feel right. Not crazy about clutch and shifter feel, but the fact it exists is excellent in a day where they are becoming so rare, ferrari doesnt make one.

This is the first truck I've ever owned, always had sports cars but finally decided to act my age (almost) and get a pickup. Well I like everything about it, I haven't had any issues or problems, it could have a little more power off the line but hey it's a truck.

I love the smooth ride and well insulated cabin. This truck is quieter than my 2014 odyssey was.

Steering wheel is one of the nicer ones I've had.

Aside from the exhaust note I've complained about, to me it feels expensive. There's virtually no road road, just some light rustling of the wind at 70mph. The ride is good and even on big potholes it feels well isolated. Most of the controls work with a deliberate precision. The steering is well weighted and the wheel feels great in my hands. Little things like the operation of the door, or the power windows, the buttons on the steering wheel, work smoothly with the right amount of effort. Like I said, it feels expensive.

If they put in another $500 of actual parts content, they could sell a "real" limited version for a lot more. I'd be happy to pay.

I've taken it on trips up to 200 miles and I can tell it's going to be a good long distance runner. It's also a stress free place to be in stop and go commuting.

Forgot to mention the tap to turn signals. Also the heated seats could fry an egg!

Also, the entune unit can pull album art from my mp3 files, give me weather and real time traffic.

I love how the nav directions pop up on that little screen between the tachometer and speedo.

    1. turns much sharper...especially for a 4x4
    2. cup holder next to the console lid is bigger (it can actually hold a standard 20 fl oz plastic bottle of pop)
    3. love the beautiful blue dash lights, buttons, & switches throughout the cab
    4. much quieter cabin ride
    5. trailer light jacks (both 7 & 4 pin) built into the top bumper with covers
    6. cargo bed light with on/off switch in the dash

I could go on and on :)

    Stock and loving it
This is my first truck, first new vehicle, and first vehicle I have purchased.

I love having cruise control. The cruise control paddle is great. I like that it travels with the wheel.

I think the truck looks a lot better than the Colorado and Canyon. They twins look too much like the Silverado and Sierra with the tall bed sides and jacked up rear end. The top of the tail gate is seriously taller than any other line on the truck, it's disgusting. The Tacoma has a nice flat bed like and it looks very good. I like the nose from the head on and I like the rear end.

I love knowing how the engine is running in simulated atkinson and how it controls the amount of air/fuel mixture entering the chamber with variable valve duration.

My wife drives a civic and it has teeny effing mirrors. I like the Tacomas large, wide mirrors and the turn signals on the front that I don't get to see.

I have driven all the miles on this truck except for the 6 for delivery, pdi, and getting gas. I love this truck.

I also like the 6 foot bed. I can sleep in it.

The 4 wheel drive system has taken me places I never thought I would go. It's a great system.

We bought a trailer and I'm thankful for the built in dual plug.

I like that it has the max AC mode where the compressor does not cycle on and off like in normal mode. It's on all the time. Try switching it from max to regular when accelerating and you will feel it turn off...

I like that it's a great truck and preforms well even when I plan to keep it stock for a few years. Thats not normal.

Maybe that was too much. Maybe I should write a love song about my truck.

I like the smoothness of the TRD OR suspension, good turning radius, great mpgs (21-22 avg so far), brakes feel strong, and the 3.5 picks up speed VERY quick to overtake on the highway. The engine/trans combo has either adjusted to me, or I have adjusted to it. Either way, it feels excellent since a few months of owning and driving it. Now that I have bed racks, roof racks, and a bed extender I am ready for most anything I would need the truck to do for work, fishing and hunting. I like the modern interior and all of the little details. I think the power mirror adjustments are really cool. The new parking brake location is awesome. Also love the S mode (don't use ect pwr much). Dash lights colors are cool. Even the center display and all of the customizations. Nav touch screen and steering wheel controls are great. Also the super bright overhead bed light. LOVE the LED Drl's and projectors aswell. As you can tell I love this truck! Lol
