I bought some the rammate bxt, that did not pass adhesion test, and should only be used on the floor.
i am contemplating using some GE silicone adhesive,so I can
use on the vertical parts of my truck. looking for some input.

    I'd use pop rivets.

i got the same stuff, but i'm only gonna use it on my floors. I think there main reason was if you did it on the inside of the door and it later fell down it could be really annoying to go back in and fix, and really not worth it if you value your time. If its somewhere that when it does fall down, which it prob will, it won't really affect anything then its up to you i guess.

If it were me, and I was doing vertical surfaces, I'd have thought of this before buying a product that wont work on vertical surfaces.

Sorry to be so blunt but yeah; why on earth did you get a product you knew wouldn't work?

That aside, GE Silicone II is a miracle material. I use it for EVERYTHING! It's a glue, sealer, decoupler...and the best part is that it stays flexible and sticks to anything; even glass! You could give it a shot but I don't know if you'll be satisfied with the results. It would also be hard to keep all the pieces up there while it dried.

I initially bought to use on the floor, but after doubling and tripling in some places. i still have quit a bit of the roll left over, however i did put the stuff on the back wall, I used heavy duty welders adhesive on the corners and center and ge silicone on the big parts. and today I am going to be putting second skin products on the doors along with luxury liner pro, and making baffles for the speakers. It was just question to see if any one thought it would work.

I'd test it on your own since you already have it. Give it a shot and see if it sticks. Can't hurt right?

as for the noise, I test drove in all the stages that I completed so far.
1.Rammat and carpet on floor appeared to be a little less noisy.
2.finished the back wall and put some poly fill in the little pocket on both sides that holds the (seat belt)housing, and put some 1/2 inch premium house carpet pad on floor and back wall (I did this just as an experiment) and put all of the seats back in. and (IMO) it is quieter in the cabin, even the wife said that it was allot quieter.

just this little bit of sound deadening/proofing has made my truck much more pleasurable to drive, I cant wait to finish the doors and put the luxury pro liner down. in my almighty quest for cabin silence.

The doors make a huge difference, I'm sure you'll notice that.

About the raammat on the vertical. the normal stuff is ridiculously sticky. As you can probably tell by what you've done already, it is not an easy project to get all this stuff put up. Do you really want to waste your time later if it starts to fall. Can you imagine the cleanup if for some reason the silicon doesn't adhere correctly?

Just my opinion, but i'd probably pick of some of the good stuff
