That's a color combo popular in the ricer community. See it a lot on Subarus.

I wouldn't call it ricer, that color used to be the factory racing colors for Subaru Factory Rally team

Kind of... the classic Subbie rally color is less fluorescent of a color.

And that's exactly what I mean by the "ricer community." Most of these beefed up WRX or STis are pavement princesses that always put a new touch on things. A newer phase is now adding awful fluorescent colors to everything. Most annoying to me: Fluorescent rims and these chameleon headlight vinyl wraps.

I used to be part of the Legacy GT community... and I was always having to bite my tongue when someone posted "look what I did to my car today" (in terms of aesthetics).

I've just started into Subaru and the community, not so much. I'm building a Legacy GT, lifted it, I don't fit in with the community.

Just ordered the OME BP-51 kit from ToyTec. The kit comes as a whole, front and rear with Dakars but since I recently added those they were able to take them off. :woot: Should get them shipped to me either end of the week or early next

Can't tell if you're serious or messin' with me

That's interesting if true. I've seen guys lower an Outback XT but never lift a GT.

    What year/model is yours?

I used to have a 2005 GT Wagon but that went away in my divorce

I pulled a Subaru out of the ditch last winter and he had to pop off a plastic panel and attach one of those threaded eyebolts so I had something to hook to.

That's all I have to add to the discussion

Totally serious. I don't like "stanced" or lowered Subaru vehicles. While I'm not going to get too serious I have played in some RallyX stuff.

2005 Legacy GT sedan. I don't think they made a turbo Outback sedan, so I made my own. I plan on building some skids and adding even bigger tires.

Yea, I'll have to add some real hooks. Most Toyota cars are that way now also.

I don't think they made an Outback Sedan XT either. Just the 3.0 H6 as an option.

I kept my wagon stock. Loved the sleeper look.

When I first moved to Colorado I ran with a bunch of Suby people. One of the guys ran a Loyale that looked something like this (random interweb picture, but same idea):

    IMG_0647_71f11c5f7983550236c47c6a7bca0246f9dc44f0.jpg

Those older models didn't have full time AWD, they had a transfer case with shiftable 4WD Hi-Lo.

My first 4 wheeling trip was with a mixed group of Toyota/Suby people including this guy running the old trails off Left Hand Canyon. We even ran Carnage and he did OK, needed 1 or 2 tugs (open diffs). It was pretty impressive.

    That thing is awesome :)

Those old trails in Left Hand were fun. My last run there was when I was doing the switchbacks and some dude was shooting an automatic rifle into a refrigerator down into the hillside.

Anyone seen the progress on my truck? I'm not sure how far along it is.

I need to see this. I'm getting my wife a legacy gt when she turns in her lease. Hopefully we can find a good one.

    Plethora of "useless" shit
Finally received my Allpro flip kit that was on back order. Anybody have an installer recommendation or up for a mod day? I'm out in Arvada.

I'm tired of looking at my new springs sitting on the garage floor :)

Interested to see how the shackle flip works out for you since I'm also running the Dakar leaf pack.
