Im thinking this as well. B/t the A/C cooler, in the fan shroud, etc..., that shit can hide anywhere.

For the trans, the stock cooler is ok but I got a massive towing cooler for mine. To make sure the trans coolant isn't cooled too much, I run it first to this cooler then to the stock cooler inside my radiator so the coolant can heat it back up if needed.

Have you tried bleeding your radiator? Could be an air pocket somewhere in the system.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
That doesn't look like it should be so bad... I'd agree with @chyknees check for an airpocket?

Also: that's a dirty motor?

I tried burping the system when I reached my destination on Thursday, but seemed fine. Toyota had just flushed it and refilled too.. the tech they had work on it did my supercharger as well and he seems to be a down to earth guy that I can trust. really has an appreciation for the trucks and his own work.

Don't know temp on mine and not supercharged but my temp has been up last few days.
Hot as hell outside, fine on highways but in slow/stopped traffic I can watch needle slowly tick higher.
Needle went pretty high with family sitting in parking lot in it.

Similar symptoms regarding AC going warm.

Assuming I have dirt somewhere on radiator. I've been looking for a foaming coil cleaner like HVAC techs use but one that clearly states safe for aluminum so I can clean radiator.

It's been 100+ lately out here and my AC blows ice cold all day long, even though I have a SC cooler "in the way" like yours. You're right to be skeptical of the dealer's explanation on that one.

I read some RV guys and side-by-side riders have mentioned cleaning radiator making a difference.
I just can't find products they mentioned locally.

Its been over 110 for a few days where I live. This is my first summer with the SC and I've noticed reduced AC temps. Boosted vehicles have higher under hood temps so I tried countering it as much as possible since summers are really f-ing hot here. 170 thermostat helped a little.

How many miles on your truck? Maybe theres a restriction in one of the cats? Just curious, do you know what your max boost pressure was while towing?

I have not added gauges as my plan was to leave it factory just to make sure I am in a safe reliable range so I would assume 10psi max since that's the factory set. currently have 67.5k miles

Nothin you can do about it short of getting rid of the heat exchanger. Ive had an 11 and 14 both with TRD S/C. I live in Phoenix so it gets way hotter for much prolonged periods that California ever will. The A/C on taco's inherently suck. blocking the flow to the a/c condensor unit does not help. only by moving does the a/c get cold in hot areas. i only wish toyota went with electric to pull in extra when you are not moving.

only thing you can do is make sure your cabin filter is clean and change/exchange your charge with one of those vatozone frigid products.

Get the biggest cooler you can get. Run synthetic atf. Why would toyota put a tiny cooler beats the hell out of me. I haven't done mine yet but later this year I will.

I'm hitting 190 on both the engine and trans after a 40 min drive home after being stuck at a few lights so I can see how over 200 is easy to do while towing on a hot day. Wish I have a good answer for you. Let us know how it goes.

let me pose this question to those of you who have the TRD SC:
when going up long grades what is better, less pedal to keep rpm down or put pedal into it to climb faster?

the only vehicles I have ever had a load in the bed or towed with were a stock v8 Tahoe and a lifted F350 7.3L diesel which neither had issues.

since you mentioned it, I am going to ask you but anyone is open to chime in..
I played with thermostats on an old 92 XJ to help with heat but it was all a guessing game as I was younger and building my mechanical skills. would it be better to go to a lower temp thermostat versus a higher temp stat? My understanding is that the higher the temp it would slow the coolant allowing it to cool better.. versus the lower temp opening up sooner and allowing the hot fluid to flow through much faster without the proper cooling? did you mention that the factory one is 190 so you went down to a 170?
