Back in July I purchased some rear tacoma fender flares and ever since I was searching for some fronts. But the tacoma fender flares for the front only fit 4wd fenders and I didnt wanna spend allot of money for them. So the other day I found a 4Runner at the junk yard, And I thought to myself "man those fender flares look like they'd fit my front 2wd fenders perfectly" and sure enough they did. So I bedlined all my fender flares and here they are installed. Fronts are off a 98 4Runner and rears are from a 01-04 Tacoma.

Only thing their a little short on the bottom in the front. Just thinking of getting a piece of flat black vinyl.

Yeah its the best thing I found for the 2wd fenders:cool: Couldnt find any other options that wouldn't be expensive.

Why wouldn't the 4wd flares fit? I would suppose that toyota uses the same fenders between 4wd and 2wd...seems like it'd be too much of a hassle to make separate fenders just for a different drivetrain...

No problem...it shows that you searched hah.

Um it looks like you have a 2nd gen prerunner. Although you list it as manual, and no prerunners come with a standard transmission. Maybe you can clarify your truck a little more?

OP has a 1st gen 2wd truck though, which has a different suspension/frame and slightly different front end. The prerunner has 4wd-style body and suspension, so any 4wd 2nd gen's flares would fit just fine in that case.

Right now im driving a 05 v6 6 speed prerunner. they do come factory 6 speed or auto. I am about to sell it and score a 04 5 speed 5 lug from my uncle (just hit 24,000 miles ;D) and was curious as to how I should go about putting flares on it so I can slap on some really aggressive offset's.
